Re: USNWR

How the hell do you know this? He gutted the engineering department, folded Newcomb and canned a ton of Profs post Katrina, so the argument can be made that many in academia in fact do not like him. Also he used smoke and mirrors to artificially deflate our accpetnace rate, which may not have gone ...

Re: Underdog Dynasty: Tulane is Scary

The difference is, they've NEVER been anything but a bottom feeder. Tulane has a past that shows it can be done here. BS. Let's take Vanderbilt. They've won more conference championships in Football, more bowl games, more bowl games THIS CENTURY than Tulane. Yes most of their success is before our ...

Re: Underdog Dynasty: Tulane is Scary

What the f*%k are you talking about? Dickson Disease runs so deep that you believe that any coach affiliated with Tulane is affected by it. What Tulane has been in the past or might be in the future is pretty much irrelevant to this discussion. In the span of 2 games, Willie Fritz has proven what h...

There will be very many problems if Willie Fritz's tenure at Tulane is short.

Re: Underdog Dynasty: Tulane is Scary

All of this is natural talk around these parts. Some of the same stuff bubbled up for CCJ in 2013. My take is that WF's name will always be thrown around for a P5 job if he has success here, but a genuine job offer from a decent P5 job won't come until his Tulane teams prove that they can pass the ...

Re: Underdog Dynasty: Tulane is Scary

You can bet the TD has a huge buyout in his contract especially for the earlier years. Also WF is a smart man. He took the job b/c he saw Tulane as a sleeping giant which all of us have known forever . When others start calling he's going to assess his chances for success there. As to the likes of ...

Whoa , wasn't it after the Tulsa game in 2014 that we had a very long thread discussion over whether or not Tanner Lee would "go pro" after only 3 years? ;)  I think I will just enjoy this win and look forward with great enthusiasm to Saturday's Navy game . :D It's really wei...

Re: Underdog Dynasty: Tulane is Scary

Eventually teams are going to come knocking on Fritz's door. However, he's reaching a point in his life where some stability means something. So first and foremost, will/does he and his family like N.O. and Tulane?--that will count for a lot. If the answer is "no", we got no shot at keepi...

OMG< we win one game handily and we are already talking about the coach being hired away! Dickson Disease. Where you need to believe "we are who we are" rather than the results and 3rd parties calling us "scary". Doesn't this post (above, by JJ) contradict this one by JJ further...

Re: Underdog Dynasty: Tulane is Scary

We'll have competition for Fritz at the end of this year. I'm sad because we aren't ready for that. Yep that will be the real test of Tulane's commitment. Houston also had competition for their coach and they stepped up big time and he stayed. It has nothing to do with commitment. Talking about how...

Re: Underdog Dynasty: Tulane is Scary

Rumors are running rapid at the Golf courses of what will happen just up I-35....The person with the most power if Grobe is gone after one year is Grant Teaff. The general feeling is that Grobe will last two years, allow the legal and any NCAA investigations to be fully complete before hiring a &qu...

Sick of out of towners complaining about Yulman. Give it up! The stadium is f-ing awesome and the gameday experience is 100x better than the Dome, even with a deluge. Mr Harry, I'm pretty sure all the complaints have come from the "in-town" fans who were in attendance. In the event you ar...

Re: Wave crushes Southern 66-21

By the way, on the ESPN3 broadcast you could hear the Hullabaloo loud and clear, and it was louder as the lead built. It seemed like the crowd was 2/3 Tulane. Anyone that was there, please comment on the make up of the crowd. It also appeared that the stadium was full, and, as always, the vast majo...

Re: Wave crushes Southern 66-21

I never said the Wave wouldn't win another game this year. I DID say that if we lost to Southern, we wouldn't win another game this year, because Southern was, by a very wide margin, the worst team on the schedule. I also said that we were going to blow out the Jaguars. Go back, JJ and read my post...

Re: Southern GameDay Thread

Tulane has less than 200 yards of total offense and only a handful of yards passing yet it has 49 points - Southern is really, really, bad and this game doesn't tell us much about Tulane's team. In bad news, Sean Wilson is in a boot. Please. We are moving the ball well. We don't have many yards bec...

This parking situation sux. Got to Ursuline 30 min before kickoff to find out lot is full even though I have a pass. Nice to see there are cars in the lot with Southern flags. Re: Southern GameDay Thread

Fritz always says that he adapts to his personnel. Well, he needs to decide whether we are a spread/pistol based triple option team or a read-pass option team. To me, we have questionable wide receivers (we would have scored 70 tonight if Dace III doesn't drop a gimme), we have an OL who cannot pas...

Re: Wave loses opener 7-3

If this team was coached by CJ I would worry about Southern. I am resting this week with WF at the helm. but why? He literally showed less than 3 days ago that he is capable of losing to a bad team MSDOS, you're guy obviously wasn't hired, so it appears you're going to bash Fritz whenever you can. ...
