Re: Are we alone?

Miami is the closest analogy to me. Rose from peer/worse southern independent in the 80's. Difference is didn't have history we have nor academic rank, though they've raised that significantly during their football rise. Unfortunately Rice is our situational peer ... Tulane was the Miami of 1979. H...

BTW: Nico Marley is a horrible football player. Yes, I said it! He stinks! Put a middle linebacker out there, not a smurf for God's sake! He's a media darling because of the legacy of his Grandfather - he should be benched. I have never bought into the greatness of Nico! He tries to be a Troy Polama...

Re: Tulsa GameDay Thread

I'm out! Got better things to do on a Saturday afternoon than watch this sh*t show. Coach killer U! Dannen did quite a job to convince Coach Fritz to hitch his horse on Willow Street. The sobering reality is setting in for Coach Fritz. No recruits, no recruits, no recruits on the way without a sign ...

De-emphasizing Athletics and ultimately that decision leading to leaving the SEC ranks right there, if not ahead of not hiring Infante or Rich Rodriguez. We're in a whole different ball game had the administration in the 1950's emphasized football and future administrations saw the value of Athleti...

Are we alone?

Is there an example of a G5 private university with top 50 academic ranking who has established a perennial top 50 football ranking in the post-BCS/P5 era?
Are we alone other than Rice in this effort?
Is this a good thing?

Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU

This is getting a little off-topic but I don't think Herman's success at Houston is a guarantee that he succeeds in the SEC. That is a HUGE step up and he'll be facing a lot better coaches and players every week. Herman can be successful at LSU, his system was pretty good at Ohio State !!!! http://...

Re: Big XII Expansion

We need a six conference structure with relegation and ascension enforced nationally. The "old boys club" has to be a thing of the past. A playoff system should consist of the bottom four ranked of each P6 conference champions playing each other in a quarter-final. The top two ranked teams...

Re: Gameday experience

Dannen has dropped the ball with game day experience. Last year season ticket holders like myself received an email survey after each home game. I believe Barbs Burke handled it. I've gotten better service and food at Tad Gormley for high school games. "We over price and under deliver" is...

Re: Wave loses 24-14

Once again we've squandered a really good defense that will not be the same next year without some mature JUCO additions to the interior d-line. The guys we have returning inside next year are going to experience a rude awakening to what life is like without Tanzel.

Re: Wave loses 24-14

When Tanzel leaves after this season our defense will have to adjust to 11 on 11 football. Right now it is our 11 against their 10.
JUCO d-line ASAP & a true dual threat QB.
Nico won't play on Sunday.

Re: Big XII Expansion

I agree with Ruski. 1. The AAC went 3-12 against OOC FBS teams that currently have winning records, and, if one would like to remove the ranked teams, the AAC went 3-6 against FBS teams with winning records that aren't currently ranked. 2. Houston, which was a lock for the New Years Six G5 slot and...
