Re: JMU vs Tulane (Football)

I had to google who JMU was. And then, I only recalled who they were because of how well they played football last season. I'm not saying we shouldn't schedule them, I just feel there are other schools closer with better name recognition with the same/more benefits of playing JMU. They’ve won multi...

Re: JMU vs Tulane (Football)

Zero benefit? How about selling out Yulman? How about improving the quality of our schedule? I’m hearing a lot of lousy excuses to not play a team we might have a tough time beating. I know there were years before they were FBS they would have schooled us. I personally think we’ll be better faster w...

Re: JMU vs Tulane (Football)

We play 4 OOC games/year. 2024 will be the first time I can remember playing 2 against a Pee program. We’ve played other SBC teams, why not the best? The risk is losing, and if we don’t want to play them for fear of losing, we’re saying we’re chickenshit. I don’t buy that.

JMU vs Tulane (Football)

I spent the late afternoon into the wee hours of the morning with JMU’s leadership yesterday. One of my best friends is an alum and large donor and he came up for the games. Met the President, Jon Alger, who told the inner circle earlier in the week that he’s leaving. Also met the longtime AD Jeff B...

Re: Tulane in the new Metro 8

I'm sorry, 'nut, but despite the population of San Antonio, UTSA is not getting into a PEE the next go-round. There's really not a lot more that UTSA offers other than a big TV market of viewers who are mostly disinterested in UTSA athletics. I know you love your Texas Schools but the rest of the co...

Re: Spring Practice-2024

Like about throwing deep two quarterbacks that can hum it down field, question is time to throw. a good coach that mixes it up with play action, screens can give any quarterback time to throw and make a weak line look strong by confusing the defense rush. Having Ty as our starter will solve so many...

Re: NCAA gets a request to eliminate mid-majors auto bids.

Ironically enough, MSU opened the season at home to one of those mid-majors. They opened with a loss to James Madison, who enters the tournament tied with UConn for the most wins in D1 at 31.

LOL. The flip flop is clear as day. You said she should rather be fired tand get paid than take a position in athletics. Then accept a role as a fundraiser. Changing words, changing stories, typical winwave. And I stand by that statement of it not being a flip flop, but if it makes you feel better,...

Re: Hunter sez's

Hunter needs to go. There's a good article in today's The Athletic about Will Wade, who many here want to be the next coach. I don't know that we can compete with some of the offers he's likely to receive, or that the BOA would consider him. But you will want to read it if you're a Will Wade fan.

That call is Sumrall, he said he wants a QB that can command the huddle and team mates have respect for. Respect is earned that is why we play the games and practices. Sumrall's call dude not yours or mine!!! Hey, Newman, you're calling someone out that isn't making any statement about who will or ...

So you really want to go there when you quote facts you don't pick and choose 3 of Kai's interceptions was as a true freshman, 2 starting against #2 Cincinatti on their home field as a true freshman. Lately Kai has been accurate without throwing interseptions, Kai also did not play his games in mop...

If Hunter gets accused of playing Forbes through injuries and ruining a potential NBA career, it won't be the first time in his career. He wore out his welcome in basketball circles in Atlanta for doing that and more with a few players. Some accusations include withholding scouting information that ...

The RPI top 25 today includes James Madison, UC Santa Barbara, Coastal Carolina, Indiana St, Campbell, Kennesaw St, UC Irvine, and our own East Carolina. The "big boys" aren't keeping them down. A good coach & a solid budget is all it takes. We have the baseball facilities. Again, I h...

No because it is not true, Kai does not have a high interception rate was early against Cincinatti two years ago, or throws off his back foot, According to Sumrall he has a smooth powerful arm for deep passes. sets well. Thompson has not won a single college football game, Kai has won 3. Facts only...

Re: Spring Practice-2024

I'd like us to feed Hughes 18+ carries per game. Our offensive success will feed off him. I don't care who our QB is. Just manage the game and eliminate mistakes. I think you’ll see this as Troy had one of the leading rushers in the nation, and the OC has said that he intends to use the running gam...
