Re: FAU Game Thread - FAU Opens 4 pts. > Wave

And, I just love it that FAU inadvertently made a 6-2 Tulane team their Homecoming Opponent ; next year people are really going to think twice before making the Wave their Homecoming Opponent. We were Homecoming Opponent so many times during the tenures of Teevens, Scelfo & Toledo it is amazing...

Re: Stadium Capacity

Life would be fine if Tulane wasn't about to waste all the progress w/the POSS. The new administration needs to know that the POSS is not acceptable and that small time football and basketball are not acceptable. We want top 25 programs in both. Re-hashing the same points over and over again on thi...

Re: Stadium Capacity

First of all, you act as if the spot where we built Yulman is the only real estate on campus, and if we build the stadium, there is no possible way we can build an IDPF. That is patently false. There are plenty of places we could put a new facility. As another poster has mentioned, we can renovate R...

Re: Stadium Capacity

I don't get what your implying by posting those pictures of Vandy's locker-room. I'm going to assume you are implying that it is better than Yulman will be, and therefore that makes us boutique. Those pictures are of Vandys brand new upgrades to the stadium, which are ongoing. I believe they are in ...

Re: Kushner: Tulane to host its largest non-sec crowd since

IF YOU LOOK TOO DEEP TO FIND A FUTURE WHERE WE OUTGROW THE STADIUM THAT IS LIGHT YEARS AWAY FROM TODAY'S REALITY , YOU'RE LIVING IN A FANTASY WORLD. Nobody knows what the future holds, yet you're sure you know better than anyone else that roots for Tulane. GROW THE F UP! The best way to predict the...

Re: Kushner: Tulane to host its largest non-sec crowd since

I'm getting this from common sense. CJ is about winning big time and going after 5 star recruits. You are talking about the sensibilities of a "boutique" stadium. Currently, CJ's sights are set far higher than the current administration and fanbase. At some point, these disconnects will c...

Re: Pick it up, Offense, really pick it up over these last f

I think our offense will come back to life. When you look at the first 5 games, we had decent offensive production. (Aside from Syracuse. Ouch.) After that you had Montana playing hurt, and then Devin Powell. With the offensive line giving Montana the same protection they gave Powell, our offense wi...

Re: Kushner: Tulane to host its largest non-sec crowd since

Well its being built. Christ. I've lurked on these forums for months and I can't stand it any more. We get it. Everyone knows how you feel. But it doesn't matter. The stadium is being built. So give it a rest. No one cares. And by the way, every time you use 'POSS' it just comes off as smarmy and i...

Re: PARKING ... PARKING ... PARKING (and badly needed)

I was thinking they could put a parking garage on the footprint of the rosen lot, and then I realized that it would not only be quite an eyesore, but an eyesore in plain view from the baseball stadium. Now that I think about it, there may be enough parking. It will just be rather decentralized. You ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Army used to be in C-USA and left recently? If it hasn't been too long their reasons for leaving probably haven't changed.

Re: Tulane Football Head Coach Curtis Johnson

I just have to say something about this "great recruiter" meme thats getting tossed around now. Apparently recruits are going to so be impressed by CJ's super bowl rings that they'll sign right up. I've seen this same line repeated on sportsnola, yogwf, nola.com, etc. My brother is a sopho...

Re: Tulane Football Press Conference 12/5 2PM CST

If there's one positive I can get out of it, its this: IF we start winning next year, and thats a big IF, we will catch on quick in the city. Think of it. Former New Orleans saints coach takes Tulane on miracle run. It would hit the media and the city like wildfire. The script writes itself. Whether...

Re: Tulane Coaching Hostage Crisis: Day 43

Well I'm referring to your prior post that the big 12 is why we never offered him. I hope we put together a first rate staff. But based on what Dickson did to us in this search, the idea of big money for assistants is probably more of his BS as well. I heard both from two different reliable sources...

Re: Curtis Johnson to be named Tulane Football Head Coach

I can't help but be optimistic. I hope CJ does well, and I'll be there to watch next year. But that's because I'm young, only been a Tulane fan since undergrad, and I'm still a (grad) student so I can go to the games for free. I'd have to admit, if I had been dealing with this stuff for decades and ...

Re: Southern Game

Well its nice to watch Tulane kick ass for a change. They started off slow but now up 43-22 at the half. If they made the shots they should have early they'd be at 50. Their schedule has been light but I really hope they keep this up. It would great to get some positive national attention.

Yall engage in the precise thing that you complain about yogwf, just in a different way. The only complaint ( and downfall ) about YOGWF is that it is censored. This is the real world. Not everyone is going to like what others have to say. They wouldn't even let me register over there. Then I found...

Re: Tulane Coaching Hostage Crisis: Day 43

Is it odd that today could be the day and there have been no leaks? Do we think there will be a press conference today introducing the new coach or do we think there will be a media leak today? The closest thing to a rumor I can find concerning today is Hudspeth. FootballScoop is reporting that Hud...
