Re: WWL TV Investigates Legislative Scholarship 10pm tonight
There are clear cut criteria you have to meet to qualify for one of these. There are also restrictions for who you can give one to. Every few years there is a story about this where people whine about it, but Tulane eats the cost of. The scholarship in exchange for tax breaks that aren't going anywh...

He's extremely quick and fast but tiny. He's listed at 5'7 155 and may be smaller than that. Could be a good kick returner.

Re: North Texas Game Thread - TV, early line UNT -2.5
I caught the 4th Qtr of North Texas's win over Ball St and a good amount of their game against Georgia. This will be a very tough team. They look similar talent wise to Tech and ULM but much better coached. They blocked a punt for a TD against Georgia so Special Teams better be ready. If we come ou...

Re: C*USA West is wide open in 2013. Does Tulane know this?
Rice is the team to beat IMHO +1. Veteran team who ended last season on a strong note and has played a better non-conference schedule than most of the other CUSA teams. That being said, they aren't THAT much more talented than we are. Heck, we played about as bad as you can play against them in the...

Re: ULM Score Prediction Thread
I thought we'd be 2-2 at this point in the season, but we've been so up and down that it's difficult to predict what is going to happen this week. Toledo was in this exact same situation at least twice during his tenure...2-2 with a winnable game staring you in the face. I have a good feeling about ...

Re: Volleyball Schedule--Shameful, pathetic, pitiful, horren
The only way we're making it to the NCAA tourney is to win the conference championship. We could have 3-4 regular season losses and lose in the conference title game and we still wouldn't make it thanks to our non-conference schedule and the weakness of our conference.
Re: Encalade
He's good at WR but I actually think his best position might be free safety. He's got tremendous ball skills and anticipation on defense. It's a good problem to have.
Re: Slaughter
These guys are mainly judged during summer ball anyway. He should be one of the top 3-5 recruits in the state as a senior. May eventually grow into 3b with age/strength training.

Re: Syracuse Score Prediction
Syracuse had the worst secondary I've ever seen when they came to the dome 2 years ago. They lost their hot-shot QB. I'll have to check their depth chart to see what they have on the DL. But I'll be really disappointed if this team blows us out. I also wonder if they are going to take us as serious...

Re: Team Analysis for La Tech game
Hanson needs to get sh_t together. He was very good lineman in high school and has great size. I raved about him and Shenile to do big things this season after seeing them during the spring and summer. So far, Shenile is the only one taking care of business. In fact, Shenile is the only OL I have f...

Re: Syracuse Game Thread
If Syracuse was going to play this new QB, I'm glad they did it last week and we get the benefit of seeing him on film. At least now there shouldn't be the rush to adjust on the fly in the game. I'd rather see what's coming at us. In looking at the drive charts, he had two TD drives and a FG drive t...

Re: The Offensive Line Play
Some of the mistakes are mind boggling. Rio Mares is staring right at a guy who is going to blitz through the A gap. The defender is making no secret of it. Everyone else adjusts accordingly, but our 5th year senior guard fans out to help double team the DE and lets the blitzer bury Montana. That ca...
Re: Busses
People are going to be all over him. I think we lucked out because of his injury last year. We are going to have to hold on for our lives, but all indications are that he is a very family oriented kid who wants to be able to play in front of his family. His dad and CJ/DJ have a good relationship.

Re: Tulane 24 - La. Tech 15
Solid win. I am interested to see whether LA Tech stinks or TU just laid an absolute egg in the first half of the USA game. Let me preface this with I am very happy that we won last night and thought that we showed a lot of guts, especially on defense. We ran the ball down their throat at the end o...

Reported size/speed are 6'2 205 and 4.5. I spoke to someone who talked to him at the game and he said that his weight is up closer to 215. I am not sure he is 4.5 on film, but he's definitely a lot faster than London. He looks more like a receiver when he runs than a TE.

Re: The view from Mobile
Not saying that their punt block wouldn't have worked anyway, but that was squarely on Lizanich. Rob Kelley was still making calls and pointing out who to block when Lizanich snapped the ball for some unknown reason. Nobody was ready so half of our line didn't move. That was an unbelievably bad scre...

Bowden is never coming back to TU (I know that wasn't the point of the thread). Bowden was a good disciplinarian and someone who set the tone for a winning program, but Rich Rod was the one doing all of the real X's and O's coaching. Rich is who we needed and we couldn't close the deal this time aro...

Re: If I were CJ.....
Oh yeah, and I would get rid of the zone read hand off. If Montana actually pulled the ball occasionally and took off, this would be an effective play. Nobody respects it because our QB never tucks and runs. If that QB from USA could do it, so can Montana. I'm not saying he needs to do it 5 times a...

Re: New Commit
I posted this on the other board, but I would consider Scott to be more of an H-back/FB type than a traditional TE. I think he fills the role that Butler is currently filling in the future. We need more production out of the TE position....hopefully Skinner sticks to his word and comes and we can te...
