Re: Plans for Future of Tulane Athletics

All seem to be good choices (except the do nothing). I believe Tulane is planning on using any revenue from Yulman to fund those things. I wouldn't expect to see anything but that athletic village tennis/track facility in the near future.

AAC gets $12 million in playoff payouts

Same as CUSA and the Sunbelt. So much for what we were told.

Re: Yulman Stadium Review

I'm pleased with the stadium and with my seating. Even though I'm on the pressbox side, I would be reluctant to trade for a seat on the east side upper deck because of the early season heat. If we schedule an early September game in the afternoon, I'll consider staying home before sitting in the su...

Re: Yulman Stadium Review

The games are very hard to watch on TV. Something has to be done about this next year. I sit directly under the edge of the Upper Deck. Every game 4 or 5 drinks from up above fall in between the space of the upper deck and the boards connected to the upper deck and either explode upon impact, or dr...

Of course (LSU at 16. lol)
But at this stage 143 is better than 315. But it's 9th out of 11 in the AAC. Miss St still at 75.

Re: Women's Basketball RPI

Who cares about Tulane ladies basketball? When was the last time we were in the NCAA tournament and how far did we advance? Is it a money making sport? Nobody cares about your opinions. You post the same stuff in every thread. You add nothing to any discussion. Go join the ULL board and troll there...

Re: Tulane men's RPI

Now #143. Future opponent Washington is now #17 in the coaches poll. St John's is two spots out of the Top 25. They may well be Top 25 by time we play them. Told people if we swept Loyola on the road and Miss St at home our RPI would move up big. We jumped up about 100 spots. I know it's not likely...

Re: AAC Blog: Big 12 Looking to poach memphis and Cincinnati

The Big 12 commish was on the Dan Patrick Show this morning...Expansion is in the hands of the Universities CEO's and AD's .. he will follow their direction...He also thinks expansion is on the minds of every Big 12 member fan base and public outcry may force the issue I'd be more surprised if they...

ESPN review of Yulman.... 1- They like the fact the "fans"(if they show up) are close to the field...2- they HATE the camera angles/elevation they are forced to use and this will be addressed with the AAC...3- They do not like the press box set up, the announcers are too low to the field ...

Re: CJ, Staff...on the Hot seat

I don't remember anyone trying to hire CJ last year. 3 wins was abysmal, the way the team played was abysmal, the game plans were abysmal, the coaching decisions were abysmal, clock management was abysmal, special teams were abysmal, what does it take to get on the hot seat? You're correct. There w...

Re: CJ, Staff...on the Hot seat

We are all upset but being on a hot seat means your job is in jeopardy. His job is not in jeopardy. When Tulane extended CJ they did it when he was a hot commodity. They gave him a huge raise and contract that met all his needs. At the time Tulane was much more concerned about another school going a...

Re: CJ, Staff...on the Hot seat

It's a fact that the recent EC extensions didn't put Tulane in a position to owe him anymore as far as a buyout. Same for CJ's extension. Completely different situation. EC had fulfilled 4 of 5 years on his contract. He was extended for recruiting purposes for one year. CJ was only in his 2nd year ...

Re: CJ, Staff...on the Hot seat

Disagree. It's different in this day and age. Tulane gives the raise and extension but doesn't change the buyout figure. Just like a coach owes a school a buyout if he wants to leave ,which is a fixed figure, it's the same on their end if they fire him. Buyouts by a coach leaving didn't exist when ...
