Re: CWS #1 seed jinx continues now straight 20 years
There's 4 teams left in the CWS: Michigan (B1G) Texas Tech (Big 12) Vanderbilt (SEC) and Louisville (ACC). Vandy looks the strongest. I’m actually surprised they weren’t seeded #1 and UCLA #2. And therein may be the answer to why the #1 seed has failed to win it all over the past 20 years--poor see...

Re: Ron Hunter Interview
It was a good lengthy interview. Had to be about 10 minutes long. You could tell Ed got irritated with Hunter's antics. What led to coach offering to pay was Ed saying Tulane needed to charge less at first to bring people back. When Hunter asked him how much it cost to go to a a game he of course di...

Re: Graff leaving Tulane for Pels
The signal for 100.3 sucks. Maybe we should take their place on 99.5 who has a very good signal.

Re: UCONN board approves move back to Big East
What are everyones thoughts if BYU comes in as fball only and takes up our spot in the West? I've come to really enjoy our rivals in West division. Doubt it happens but to answer your question I agree with you that I'd prefer to stay in the west. Memphis could also be the one moved East instead of ...

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East
I hope it's USM. I totally understand the demographics and the desire to go west. But hey, that's what I hope. I like playing them. I'm with you. So are a lot of our fans that enjoyed the rivalry. I don't think it will be them unless the league gets shot down by all the others they seek to the west...

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East
The league is not going to stay at 11 in football. I also doubt they take a partial member. We already have two in Navy and WSU.

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East
My guess is that UCONN thinks their basketball recruiting will improve by going back to the BE. Only time will tell.

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East
UConn brings nothing to the table in football. It hurts basketball but Football drives the bus. To replace UConn, Rice would be my first choice. Navy can move to the other division in Football. UH is not going to allow Rice to be admitted, Rice brings zero to the TV table, neither does North Texas ...

Re: UConn back to Big East?
golfnut---only like 12 schools care about baseball. Meanwhile UConn doesn't care much about football (other than trying to prop it up in case they need it to get into a P5). This move is being made because their attendance at men's and women's basketball is lagging as is the product on the field. R...

Re: Wave lands a commitment from Justin Ibieta QB!!!!
Not talking necessarily as a starter. I just seem to remember someone from the football team, maybe a DB or a WR who ended up playing G on the basketball team after the football season was over? A bench player of course, but was on the team. Carolina had a player, I believe was a TE on the football...
