Re: Kurt Hester

He's going and bellyaching about it won't make it any better. Was he important? Absolutely. Are we doomed? Absolutely not. We had fewer injuries last year and we credited Hester. We had more critical injuries this year and it affected us greatly. Is it Hester's fault? No, it's part of football. My p...

I agree, but he's got Mack Brown written all over him. I hope it lasts long enough to get us where we all want to go.

Re: winwave

Fukc that! Winwave is a die hard who has made me step up my expectations for Tulane Athletics. There was a time when I was satisfied with 8 wins from our program. More fans need to want more! I am riding with him and his #1 Sumrall baby! Let get it! You have more respect for him than he has for any...

Re: Tulane Beats Furman 117-110, 2 OT's

On Tulane's second possession, Forbes missed a 3. It was kind of a bad miss and the ball banged off the outside of the hoop. Holloway was standing alone about 10 feet away near the baseline. When the ball hit the rim, he just turned and started running back for defense. Furman got the rebound, but i...

Re: Tulane Beats Furman 117-110, 2 OT's

I've now seen it on the 10:00 news and it did appear to be valid calls to put time on the clock and calling the foul. Are we lucky when another team makes a mistake? Yes, but that's part of the game. Still, having a new AD should get us unbiased evaluations of men's and women's basketball.

Re: Furman Game Thread

I turned it off when it seemed clear that we lost. Then I saw on this site that it was 92-92 and we were in OT, so I watched both OTs. I read here that Furman got screwed. I didn't see it. How many think Furman got screwed?

We have a new AD who won't have to admit making another mistake if he is let go. This performance has to get Harris thinking.

It certainly can't hurt. Let's have a review.

So far, we are losing 3 assistants?
DC Wood
WR Sherman
DB Christian-Young

Are there any players that have actually signed somewhere else?

Hopefully we'll do one of these for each regular poster, correct? If justified. Winwave needed or needs a cool down. He is a one of Tulane’s best fans but there was just so much clear toxicity for no reason. The dude is relentlessly aggressive and rude. He has anger problems. Maybe we need a safe w...

Judge issued an injunction for 14 days. NCAA will allow him to play without penalty in the next 14 days. If the injunction is lifted then he can’t play, if it’s extended he can continue to play. Bizarre ruling. It wasn't clear from your post, but this is not a ruling specifically for Cook. This is ...

I still think something happened in the last 4-5 months that really set Fritz and Tulane apart. Whatever it was really pissed off Fritz and now he's gone. It was probably something he felt he was promised and not delivered. Whether it's facilities or salary or personnel related, we may never really...

Did anyone else see Fritz get visably upset when players were asked in the post-game (CCG) press conference if the rumors about Fritz leaving had any effect on their prep or play? He even put his head down at one point, but tears were in his eyes when he picked it back up. What people don't seem to...

In the past, we never had much of this problem because we were usually firing a crappy coach for doing a crappy job with players that no one else really wanted.

McClesky got moved a couple of years ago to some sort of defensive analyst. He was a marginal coach, but an important part of local recruiting.

The way Sumrall is handling the assistant coaches/portal/transition issue is night and day from Fritz. Yes, we will likely take players that played at Troy. No, they should not be recruiting for Tulane while at Troy. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do this. Sumrall gets it. It’s not complica...

Re: Willie Fritz official to Houston

There is little doubt that something transpired between Fritz and Tulane in the last 4-5 months. It is probably something that Fritz felt had been promised to him that he didn't get or didn't get fast enough. Now, he's out to F' us.
