Re: California lawmakers voted to let NCAA athletes get paid.
The players are rewarded with full scholarships. Most in America would consider that extremely valuable. They are given housing and they are given money. Then much of the money brought in is spent on giving them the best coaching so they can reach their ultimate goal. It's also spent on giving them...

Re: California lawmakers voted to let NCAA athletes get paid.
Read my post again. I never said many make it. I said what is true. They are trying to reach their ultimate goal. I also said schools are paying them and that includes Tulane. Most importantly no one is forcing them into their agreements with the schools. They don't have to go. As for those of us p...

Re: AP Top 25
While it might not be fair.....this is exactly how someone from the outside will see us. FIU lost to Western KY and LA Tech  Houston crushed UNT but they might drop way more than expected now that King is gone...might not look like a real impressive win by season end. That's exactly my point...

Re: Army Game Thread
We now have 16 votes in the coaches poll. Still at one in the AP. Memphis in the top 25 in the coaches poll. SMU now in the AP top 25.

Re: Justin Ibieta
I figured you were being generous. We were all hoping for a bigger crowd. Thursday nights are a killer. Nothing Tulane could do about it. We have three this year that's why it was disappointing that Tulane chose to play the first one on Thursday. Some didn't renew this year knowing there were three...

Re: AAC - SEPT 28TH
Memphis-Navy was an OK game to watch, but, I agree with Guerry Smith, still not overly wild about either of them. Of course, we have to play both of them. However, you have to be impressed with SMU, a 48-21 road win at USF. These guys are good and worth checking out week in and week out. Cincinnati...

Re: CFN's view of UCF's loss
Media outlets did pick up on it and many mocked UCF for it. There was no great outcry by the media for change based on that. I get your UCF bent based on your daughter going there but lets not cloud the facts.BTW, EVERYONE knows the NCAA doesn't crown a football champion at the FBS level. This guy ...

They are worthtless. They also aren't the only ones doing it to us and that's why we've had so many false start penalties.

Re: MBB 2019-2020
The freshman Charlie Russell will have a good shot at being part of that rotation. If Days is up to it it will be him rather than Koka. Am I confusing our Frosh, or was Charlie the one that was headed towards a PG year of Prep School before we offered? I would think Days, being our most highly tout...

Re: Army Game Thread
Army will be a big challenge with the officials in their corner. Jeffrey Johnson being healthy would be HUGE. Converting a few big plays or sustained drives for tds in the 1st quarter would also be HUGE and will end this game quickly. Loved the Will Hall QB talk, still can’t believe he didn’t get m...

Alfred Thomas was also hurt up front. His injury looked worse than JJ's. We'll need them both in this matchup. Hopefully the extra time makes them available.

Re: D'Eriq King Leaving with intent to Transfer
I thought it was the coach's decision on red shirting, not the player's. Look's like King is running the UH team, not the coach. If I was a player on the UH team. I would not care to be on the same team with King because he only cares about himself and making himself look good. He will probably ent...
