Re: 2019-2020 Men’s Basketball Recruiting

I could care less if it was any of Dunleavys guys leaving. Ali definitely has the build and look of an inside force. Love how many big time programs were on him. I also like that he has already had some time of basketball skills development at other universities, and isnt a twig like our duo from a...

I checked his twitter account when I posted at 2:36 (EST?) Didn't see the tweet!

Welcome to the fold, Mr. Ali!

Listen closely to Coach Hunter, and you'll have a fun ride in New Orleans.

What? Is? Happening? https://twitter.com/GoodmanHoops/status/1142130028517449733?s=20 I thought this kid had signed with Baylor That would be his second time signing with Baylor. Re: 2019-2020 Men’s Basketball Recruiting

I think he would have 4 years left as he was a RS at Arkansas this past season. Do we have room for him with a scholarship? Would he have to sit another year despite not playing at Arkansas?

He has not "tweeted" any commitment.

There's 4 teams left in the CWS: Michigan (B1G) Texas Tech (Big 12) Vanderbilt (SEC) and Louisville (ACC).

Re: Happy Thanksgiving Wave Die-Hards

What a class move, turning a post I made to thank my fellow Wave fans at Thanksgiving into a commentary on my social and family life. You must have kept that in your back pocket for "a few short months" (like7). Again, I'll resist temptation to take shots at your personal life, and let you...

Re: 2019 Tulane Football Regular Season Win Prediction

We certainly disagree on what an upset is. Also if our offense improves to the level most of us think it can we will be favored in more games than what you currently think. Hell the season hasn't started and already one game some experts here said we would be a clear underdog in now has us favored-...

Re: 2019 Tulane Football Regular Season Win Prediction

We just disagree on the definition of upset. To me, a game you are not favored to win, by definition, is a potential upset. I don't care if the opponent is not ranked nationally. For the most part both Memphis and Houston (and frankly Tulsa as well, but we'll be favored in that game) have owned Tula...

This from Coach Hunter and GreenWave MBB today. https://twitter.com/GreenWaveMBB/status/1141490299019177984 Thanks for the clip. Re: 2019 Tulane Football Regular Season Win Prediction

Beating Houston or Memphis would be an upset. Beating Army will be an upset. Beating Auburn would be a HUGE upset. Tulane Football has accomplished nothing to make us look down our noses at any opponent on our schedule. Sorry, but we'll agree to disagree here.

Re: Jonathan "Adam" Chaney - 3* ILB Commits

IF we can hold onto our early commits, this is shaping up to be one hell of a class. They'll probably be marked down for picking a mid-G5, but most of our early commits have offers from an impressive list of P5 schools. Fritz has certainly upgraded the recruiting target zone.

Re: Wave lands a commitment from Justin Ibieta QB!!!!

There have been a few athletes at P5 schools (the P5 has nothing to do with this other than the visability) that played both football and basketball in the past 20 years or so. But they're few and far between. Basketball starts practice October 1st, football ends (for 1/2 of D1) around the 1st of De...

Re: 2019 Tulane Football Regular Season Win Prediction

I don't think it's a killer schedule, but I think it's a very competitive schedule. If you were to handicap it right now, we'd be favorites in four games, with FIU included (as a game we'd be favored in) even though that's going to be a skinny line either way. We're no better off as a program than F...

I have 9-3 also. Everybody is bringing up what a difficult schedule we have. I'm just not seeing it. Agree as that's what I've been saying about the schedule. People on our sites have been talking it up as a monster schedule. The only way I think it can be seen that way is if you're grading on a cu...

Probably the Birmingham Bowl, where Memphis ended up. Our resume would have been VERY similar to Memphis.

I have 9-3 also. Everybody is bringing up what a difficult schedule we have. I'm just not seeing it. I'll wait and see. There's nothing this coaching staff and team has accomplished that lets me believe we're on the verge of winning the AAC. Sneaking into a tie for the division and a low level bowl...

Impossible.

MAYBE football and baseball, but there's way too much overlap with basketball and football/baseball. Two sports is difficult to pull off at the collegiate level, three is impossible.

Those two look like studs, and would be incredible gets. Both have ole miss offers in addition to many others They have pretty meager stats from a JUCO. Surprised that they have Ole Miss offers. Look like studs to whom? Certainly not their JUCO QB, who threw it to them once or twice a game. Clearly...

I was surprised "the new" Yankee stadium seats that many. For baseball it's official seating is 47,422 nine thousand and change less than the renovated old Yankee Stadium. I thought it was smaller closer to 40K. But if you watch their games, they have empty seats (corporate owned, I'm sure...

Re: When it's Hot and U have lot's of $$$$

That would be news to the 70,000 who pack the Dome for Saints games and to the fans of other NFL teams who pack their stadiums. As to the Rangers it's rare for a baseball team to build a stadium to hold 50,000. In fact I think most probably don't even go to 40,000. They overbuilt and now they are c...

The pointer brothers were a part of the Wally English/Bob Davie staff. If we had that staff in 1980 things would have turned out much differently IMO Sorry, but we called Lionel and company the Pointer Sisters, well before Wally English/Bob Davie arrived. Re: When it's Hot and U have lot's of $$$$

Beautiful park. One thing I took from those stories is that the trend of smaller seating continues. The original Globe Life Park built seated 52,000 and it was later reduced to 48,000. The new park will now seat 40,000. So 12,000 less than the original park. This is like a Rick Dickson "capaci...
