Re: Wave over Miami(OH.) 80-59 go to 5-0
Only saw the second half. Miami is the type of team we will match up really well with. They don’t have a lot of length or size, they aren’t that physical. At the same time, we also had a pretty big athleticism advantage over them. I would think they finish middle of the pack in the MAC at best. But...

Re: Wave over Miami(OH.) 80-59 go to 5-0
Great to see Hoops back from the dead. The game was played the day before a holiday which could cut down on crowd size but was hoping some of the locals will start taking notice. The box score advised 1500 in attendance, up from 1300 against SELA, and 1000 against LIU, so gradual improvement. Looki...

Re: Baby Isla helps Wave whip Houston 20-17
HippieC, It sounds like a replay of about half the posts on Tiger Droppings. OK with me for the reasons I noted above. But why compromise at 9-3 minimum? That's alot of losses in Steinbrenner world. I dont even know who Steinbrinner is. Nobody goes 12-0 every year, not even Saban's Alabama or Carro...

Re: Exhibition or Not
LSU absolutely got crushed last night by ND 92-53. I watched. Game was not as close as score. Again read story by Advocate beat reporter posted online early this morning. No excuses from Wade. He is a straight up guy and refreshing change from others there who always threw the players and everyone ...

Re: Miami(OH.) Game Thread
Temple's #1 in RPI right now. LOL I know they're good, but are they THAT good? I hope so when Tulane beats them! :D Folks everyone including the team and its coaches is raising expectations. I'm more than happy to have a discussion about how few games we lose versus the norm around here of how many...

Re: Exhibition or Not
I wish it counted. But had it been real LSU would have likely had refused to play us at Fogelman. Probably at Smoothie King. Either way we beat them. I applaud Wade for playing us. He made no excuses and accurately explained how LSU could have played better. (Namely take the ball inside against Tul...

Re: Miami(OH.) Game Thread
Gotta take care of business! Absolutely inexcusable if we don't finish 10-2 or higher OOC. Our rpi is up to 84 right now. ESPN bpi currently at 189. Kenpom has us at 139. Miami rpi is 215, bpi is 279, kenpom is 284. Miami body of work: @Fordham (150 rpi) 55-54 W Wright St (310 rpi) 73-67 W LIU-Broo...

Re: Baby Isla helps Wave whip Houston 20-17
I'll give it to WinWave for creating this great subject line and theme. It's fun. More importantly I'll give it RJM and his wife for getting married as parents to Baby Isla. I hope RJM can play pro ball but if not that he completes successfully his Tulane education and use it to launch a successful ...

Re: Tulane beats Fordham 63-55
I'm reading this with some wry amusement. Some seem to forget this team won six games last year and was losing to one-bid Southland Conference teams. This weekend it beat MWC and A-10 teams and did it looking like a Top 20 team and then ugly. As suggested above, do some of you miss losing? :D It's ...

Re: Tulane beats Fordham 63-55
Looks like 2 teams that spent the last 48 hours in Jamaica I think it's closer to 96 hours for Tulane and I was thinking we had too much Bob Marley and needed Nico instead. Regardless to have a good season, you need to have bad wins against bad teams. I assume MD will put them through some hard pra...

Re: Tanner Lee
Yesterday was all about the Nebraska defense. That's what going to get Riley fired. Lee played fine by any measure against a good team.
What I still don't get is the schadenfreude some posters around here have about Lee and Nebraska.

Re: Baby Isla helps Wave whip Houston 20-17
Not to be a party pooper or anything, but its possible that there will be more bowl-eligible teams than spots. What would be the odds that an AAC team would get a slot before a 6-6 CUSA or Sunbelt team? Would hate to see us be 6-6 and be the odd man out. I read a few years ago that the NOLA Bowl ha...

Congrats to Tulane. Good luck the rest of the way. Too bad we can't fire our incompetent head coach and his staff. Very unacceptable performance this season. I have to admit, I was shocked the DC did not get the Houston HC job, he is doing one hell of a job at Texas Then you weren't watching Housto...

Re: Colorado State Game Thread
Wave look good so far this year. So much deeper than a year ago. We definitely play NBA-style basketball, which is great if you have the depth and athleticism to pull it off. I think we are getting there, but we may pay big for this style against some of the better more athletic teams in conference...
