They respect each other . They love working together . .
Pratt will get more NIL money than any other QB in the Portal and Fertilla will line up additional NIL for Michael .
You heard it here first .

Re: Willie Fritz Coaching Watch
My question about Sumrall is why hasn't he gotten any run for these 2nd tier jobs like Miss State? I think some don't appreciate how GREAT the Big 12 is for a coach and for a school They get P5 $$, P5 coverage, without a single power program in that league. It's like the AAC (pre 2023), only deeper,...

If that's the list, fire the search firm. And if that's the list, Gosha shouldn't be at the bottom of it.
How does Sidwell make the list?

I don't think Hermann was a terribly inspired hire.
And Kevin White wasn't good at hiring football coaches.
Danny White's pretty good at it.
That's all secondary to P5

And we lose to Nichols.
No way for this not to happen when you don't seriously recruit.
Dannen didn't have the guts to fire her (or he just didn't want to bother).
Stockton didn't have the grace to resign as she should have done after each of the last 6 seasons, and she should do after tonight.

Re: Pro-Palestine Riot on Campus Today
Tulane has been been noticeably week in their responses to the Middle East Conflict. They need a new person leading their Press release department. Twice now they have had to walk back their responses after blowback so they could issue a stronger statement. From a distance it looks like weak leader...

Re: New Athletic Director Candidate Thread
Unfortunately too many of our current head coaches are intimidated by this level of competition, and they are making that known to the Tulane decision makers. They prefer to bask in the sunshine of mediocrity instead of doing what is best for Tulane and the community long term. Well-said. We see th...

Those 2 La Tech ADs would be ridiculous. The first was AD in that bowl game debacle and did all sorts of goofy stuff; Tech hasn't done a thing since the 2nd has been there. Neither raised serious money (Davison is their one big long-term financial supporter).

Re: Athletics Department Update and Info
It seems to me the issue isn’t so much ambition as lack of space. If we had $200m to spend on facilities you’d probably have a hard time finding projects on campus to fund because beyond the low-hanging fruit of an IPF/football facility, there really aren’t any possible projects. If we had acres of...

Re: Tulane among a number of schools filing to join the imploding PAC-12
Folks, there are just some realities that truly separate SMU from Tulane (and thus makes them going to ACC plausible): - Huge TV market (especially in comparison to NOLA). - The most fertile recruiting area in the country as to numbers and quality of recruits (and ACC wants better access to TX). - ...

At most, there are 30 water-carriers in the sport. The rest of the 64 are fortunate tag-alongs.
At least be honest and suggest 30 teams, not 64.

I don't find it hard to believe. Cowan isn't running this operation anymore. Any breathing human knows that we're giving away hundreds of millions by not being a part of one of these leagues over the next decade +.

Re: Way Too Early Pre-Season PreViews
My 2 concerns are 1) replacing Dorian Williams' speed on defense and 2)the early schedule. It's not daunting, but it also doesn't start with 2 tune-up games like we had last year. And we needed a hapless opponent like U Mass to get the kinks out.

I would be hesitant about leaving the PAC for the Big 12. The PAC schools, other than Wazzu and Oregon State, are first-tier universities. And it's more than academics. The Big 12 schools, other than maybe Kansas, are 2nd or 3rd tier (and most are 2nd tier, even within their own states; it's remarka...

Re: Tulane Beats USC 46-45 to win the Cotton Bowl!
We have to quit being so thin skinned. The reason why it was so euphoric is that it was that improbable for all the reasons they mention. It was truly shocking and not entirely of our making. USC basically playing for a FG on their last drive when we hadn’t stopped them all game, USC’s defensive ca...
