Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

fau put up 326 yards on navy last week and we only managed 262. i thought willie was supposed to be some offensive whiz? Well, a lot of it has to do with your starting qb going down very early in the game. we werent exactly moving the chains with banks at the helm. something like 60 yards across fo...

Re: Green Wave Fan Advisory Comittee

As usual you are completely wrong. As several posters here noted when a few complained they hadn't been picked those people were in groups that the athletic department hears from all the time. The committee doesn't meet often. Usually right before the start of a season to get ideas of what fans wan...

We all are. So true.   Hopefully one day soon we can share some cold ones over that happening. Will never happen. That's my biggest peave with this AD. I was a Cannizaro supporter, but if raiding our roster is his method of building a team, then to heck with it. Now, if only there was some kernel to believe in Jewett. both france and grant brown announced months ago they were not returning to tulane as fifth year seniors, whether that was their ch...

Re: We're number 1...kinda, sorta

Is my memory failing, or did they replace the turf and do other improvements at Turchin between fall ball and the start of the regular season? Regardless, baseball is clearly NOT the most popular sport on campus. Some people just cannot move beyond the fact that AC was not hired. It's time to move ...

Re: We're number 1...kinda, sorta

Hell no. What resources? Baseball doesn't get any resources. But Dannen would love nothing more than to kill the most popular sport on campus like he did at his last stop. And it would not help us win anyway. How do you measure popularity on campus? The same way Rick Dickson counts "capacity'&...

Re: We're number 1...kinda, sorta

It's interesting to analyze the ratings in that the highest AAC team is USF at 60. It's essentially the top 11 of each P5 conference (and ND) then the rest. The AAC has positions 60, 61, 66, 69 and 72. It demonstrates how difficult it is to break into that upper echelon. You can't schedule enough P...

You know more than their own fans. Right. Our fans love to say the SEC teams are overrated. Even their fans didn't feel like they belonged where they were ranked for most of the year. You can continue yoor hate fest on Tulane baseball all you want. They have created a thread on the other site for y...

Can we hire Rick Jones for AD? smartest thing ive seen on this board in ages. why hire a guy whose finger is so far from the pulse in dannen when you could have had a guy like this? i doubt he was considered but he should have been. sure the end of his career wasnt as successful as some would have ...

If AC beats LSU this site would crash and burn. The AD's phone would never stop ringing and if any one is collecting feathers and melting tar, will meet at GFTS. You can bet your house Dannen's a closet Tiger fan this weekend. wouldnt surprise me seeing that dannen is an egomaniac. rooting for our ...

Re: Truth about stacking-Finally

Schools like Vandy, Stanford, and Rice have a decided advantage in baseball because of the gigantic endowments relative to size of student body, Tulane is not in that class. I've always said our high tuition really hurts us. In order to be permissible, a school can only offer aid to players on the ...

Talked on Twitter with a former player who occasionally posts on here and he had some interesting thoughts. I thought I'd share. He said are struggles on Sunday are due to a lack of depth. Different coach wouldn't matter. I agree with the first part of that, but not so much the second. What was rea...

Re: UCF Series

We started out bad. Really bad. at 3-12, it would have been easy for Jewett to lose the team. But we didn't go from bad to worse, we've played pretty well against some pretty good competition since. I'm not saying Jewett was the right hire, or that he'll eventually be a great HC (though I hope that...

Re: UCF Series

Wave takes game 2 4-3 ....not that a lot of you seem to care. Should we? Win number 23 in the 48th game of the season doesn't move the needle. Winning the AAC regular season doesn't even do much right now because we started so poorly. Anything less than a regional appearance is a failure at Tulane....
