Re: Dana H now at UH
Wow! That's a heck of a commitment by the U of H! Is the $4.5 million pool for assistants per year? Yes, $4.5 million pool for assistants per year. I recall when our AD hired Napier a little over a year ago, he was given an assistants pool of $2 million per year which, at the time, was stated to be...

Re: Dana H now at UH
   https://twitter.com/skhanjr/status/1080855161818542080 For a program with sky-high expectations, Houston is paying up for major successes and not so much for others. Holgorsen would make $100,000 for leading Houston to an American championship and $350,000 for a national tit...

Re: Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all ! My New Years wish is that Tulane kicks the crap out of UCF next year at a packed Yulman Stadium (preferably to end their streak after they beat LSU tmrw). I don't think its too far fetched ! Bi, hows about we just hope to "kick the crap" out of someone next season,...

Re: UH fires the Major
We need Houston, UCF, UCONN, Temple, USF to continue to grow as flagships if we're ever to close to the Big12/Pac in terms of stature. I'm sure it was just an oversight on your part that you left out Tulane. ;) You’re still here ? Yes, and I was complimenting Tulane. Obviously, far more goes into m...

He left Temple “at the altar”. Leaves after two weeks to take Miami job. Took the Temple job on Dec. 13 and signed his first recruiting class with the Owls a couple of days later. Wow poor Temple except for the $4 million they going to get from Miami for stealing him back. https://www.cbssports.com...

Re: UH fires the Major
UH’s President Renu Khator and the university’s money man Tillman Fertitta don’t mess around when it comes to athletics. I wish we had those two helping out Tulane instead of UH. Yahoo Sports thinks they're a clown show: MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Take a bow Renu Khator. The Houston president is officia...

Re: Bowl game attendance down again.
Agreed. To me, reporting attendance these days at almost any game is misleading. What really counts is how many eyeballs are watching the game via means other than sitting in the stadium..

cajunfanatico and DfromCT, I wonder if you missed that Bearwave resurrected a thread from SEVEN years ago to make his post. I'm not surprised that tps' link doesn't work, nor am I surprised that msdos's BCS comment is no longer relevant. Maybe there needs to be a point where a thread is permanently...

Re: The Legend and the Myth of the Halftime Adjustment
A truly good read. It seemed to me that many of Scelfo's teams got beat by the opponents making adjustments during the halftime break and Tulane not making counter-adjustments. I'd be interested in the thoughts of those that were in the Scelfo locker rooms, as I could be totally off base. Today's D...

The Legend and the Myth of the Halftime Adjustment
Halftime tweaks also happen on a much smaller scale in less significant games, like the one Tulane made last season to pull off a third-quarter fake punt after Green Wave coaches had recognized a vulnerability in East Carolina’s punt coverage team. Tulane coach Willie Fritz is a 58-year-old journey...

Re: Ragin Cajun sign best football class in school history
Now we're talkin! Yum! I don't think it's a microwave, but better yet a BBQ! Good job,! It's not a bbq either Dave because neither the smoke nor the fire ever touches the meat. It's an oven, and I guess it's called a Cajun Microwave because it's so simple. Mine's large enough to cook a hog of about...

Re: Ragin Cajun sign best football class in school history
Home made cajun microwave? That sounds good, does it do blackened automatically? :) :) LOL, Dave I cooked a meat bird the night before just to do a test run and almost left it in there too long before checking it. It was a bit overdone, but still edible. What I can't find here is a meat ther...

Re: Ragin Cajun sign best football class in school history
Average attendance for ULL is consistently 25,000+ Even Cajun Troll wouldn't agree to the above statement. ULALA averaged about 8 or 9 thousand per game this season. The many pictures online of ULALA home game attendance for this year speak for themselves. During Hud's best years, Cajun attendance ...

Nothing in that article portrayed rivals as any better or worse than the other services. As for what fans think of one or the other, that's irrelevant. Also, a good portion of fans don't like rivals because most of its a pay site. You've just wasted another 5 minutes of my time. The article I poste...

Re: Dunleavy Dumpster fire continues Wave falls to win less Alabama A&M 67-59
I once again feel like I have lost brain cells by reading what passes as “sports journalism”. While the overall sentiment of the article is correct, that was an absolute waste of 2 minutes of my time. Conroy was garbage. There are very few teams outside of the blue bloods that could lose two player...
