Re: St Aug Spring Game

That McCoy kid is a pretty good QB. We should give him a look. Justice McCoy? He signed with Colorado State in February. He did have a Tulane offer though. http://247sports.com/player/justice-mccoy-87994 You know what, I am thinking about the wrong kid. I am thinking about the QB from Mc #35. Last ...

Wow. Grambling had a WR drafted in the 3rd round this year. Impressive. I might have to take their talent more serious after what I saw from our spring game. Lol.

Re: Spring Game Results for QBs on Tulane's 2017 Football Schedule

What baffles me is how few throws there were in the game. I'd have let Banks play 60 plays and throw it 40 of them. When September comes and the passing game isn't working well Coach might wish they had thrown the ball a little more in the spring. Agreed. Do say our passing game struggled last seas...

Re: Tanner Lee Named Starting QB at Nebraska

This is meaningless - Nebraska's talent level is high enough and it's division is weak enough that - at the moment - it only needs a pro style game manager at QB to win 7-9 games, but, if Riley's Nebraska team doesn't win any big games this year, it seems likely that he won't be coaching there in 2...

Re: Tanner Lee

I would have been very surprised if Tanner Lee would have not have had a big spring game against a second string defensive unit after all of this time in the collegiate ranks. I expect him to be a better QB now than he was for us. Nebraska doesn't have a tough schedule this year, so we should she Ta...

Re: Bye bye Jonathan Stark

Jacksonville State beat UT Martin for the OVC Championship tonight. Stark got pretty much what he wanted...a chance to showcase his talents at Murray State. Unfortunately, Murray is going nowhere because the rest of the team is not that good. Murray was at one time the best of the OVC, until Coach ...

Re: 2017 Football Schedule Released

You should probably figure on favored vs Grambling and tossup vs Tulsa, especially since both are at home. I know last year was last year...but I saw Grambling on a few occasion, one VS Arizona, this game deserves everyone's attention Grambling lost their top receivers and defensive linemen. We sho...

Lol. Baseball can't do it. The football team must go to a bowl game. Even if it's the Bud Broiler Bowl is against another 6-6 team.

Re: Staff Changes?

I'm just curious where the "CJ left the cupboard bare" thing is coming from? Fritz inherited some real play makers, and an actual D1 coach would have had us in a bowl. Our fans are clueless. One of these days you are going to realize it. CJ turned out to be a bust as an head coach because he didn't...

Re: Grambling finishes ranked

Although I think there's a small group of FCS teams that would blow out our Green Wave, Grambling is not one of them. I don't care if they were ranked, they don't have the OL and DL talent that NDSU, E. Washington, Youngstown State and JMU have. Those four programs fielded teams this past season th...

Re: Curtis Johnson

Rumors are CJ to Saints, LSU or even Bama. Man. CJ really ruined a great day vs Georgia Tech. He ruined a great season vs Tulsa that same year. A 2-0 start that year would have done wonders to our program and Yulman Stadium. Now, we are back to square one. Anyway, I hope he ends up back with the Sa...

Re: Grambling finishes ranked

Kincade is a F'n beast at QB. He would have easily started here or plenty of FBS programs. Even the Ole Miss folks bragged about his QB IQ, however, he won't have the depth chart to beat us or give us a close game. Their coach has done a great job in bringing the back from the small college powehous...

Re: G5 conferences now considering having its own playoff

By the time we're eligible to do so (2025) the playoff should have expanded to 16 teams. I'm sorry, D, but I just don't see that. No way the P5's will carve up the pie that much. I think we'll eventually get to 8, but that's it. I agree. I think it should be 6 with the 1&2 having a first round bye....

Re: Temple trounces the Wave 31-0

He had a QB and he let him go. We were told he was a coach who adjusted his offensive scheme to the personnel he had. I don't care what you think about Tanner Lee, but he's clearly head and shoulders above anyone on this roster at the QB position. Lee stunk up the joint too much as a starter for me...

I want to get excited about us playing better than expected against two majors, but I would hate to be disappointed with a lost to minor major type team on our schedule. Hopefully, we take care of the UNO's and Southern's of our schedule, and pull off a few big wins before American play.
