Re: Baseball vs. New Orleans

TPS, are you there live from the Lakefront? If so, what are the weather conditions? No. Decided not to go because of UNO's refusal to play us last season at Turchin. I got stuck for that ticket and was never reimbursed. Many of the guys that would have went feel the same way. If we don't get rained...

Re: Baseball vs. San Francisco

Overshadowed by all of this critical analysis of team hitting is Hunter Williams' 400-foot towering shot that tied the game in the bottom of the 9th. If you weren't there, you missed that kind of drama that Tulane baseball hasn't had in quite a while!

Re: Baseball @ Southeastern LA

So, to start the season we win a series on the road against a Super Regional team from last year, and win a game on the road against a regional team from last year. That's pretty damned impressive. We're also winning these games with late rallies...something we fans have not seen in quite some time.

Re: Baseball opens season with 9-3 win over Pepperdine

I really think we will see a different offensive team from last year. A year of experience will make a big difference. Was disappointed in Merrill's start. Need better command to pitch on Friday nights. Overall, was impressed with the comeback and the great outing by Steel. Let's keep it going tomo...

Great day for baseball. Grant Brown lined one into the left field net. Gotta realize that the alumni weren't killing it out there but, overall, it was a good outing for everybody.

Re: Temple game

Just an observation: Yesterday's TV commentators were extremely fair in one of the team's worst performances of the season (if not the worst). One of the 2 announcers at one time said (and I'm paraphrasing), "It's interesting that we just don't hear about Tulane much while being situated in a g...

Coach Pierce Tonight

Great meeting in Thibodaux with the Bayouland Green Wave Club. Coach David Pierce, Coach BRIAN Meyer and Baseball SID Curtis Akey were our special guests. If you've met Coach Pierce you know that it's a whole different "ball game" with his laid back, but deliberate style of addressing the ...

We like "Big O" and what he has brought to this team. I mean, folks, we had the constantly injured Euro with bad knees in the recent past knowing we would get outplayed underneath. Now, we have a young big guy along with Smith that at least gives us a presence down low.

In that timeout late in the game, Osetkowski (Garden District) intimidated the hell out of UH's goon, Knowles, when he bumped him walking over to the bench. I really like this kid's swagger.
