Re: How NIL has changed college sports
I take it "many going into six figures and beyond" is more than the "only a handful" that winwave keeps trying to tell us? Granted, we don't know if this is per year, or the full value of the deal, but why would any collective provide more than a one year deal when the kid may ju...

Re: New Commit - Erik Urbaniak
They were pretty good, but against middling opposition. 8-1, averaged close to 40 pts a game. Erik played in 5 of the 9 games, 9 catches for 130 yards and a TD. Definitely a development project.

Re: New Commit - Erik Urbaniak
Yes, it is. He visited during the UTSA game. It said in a previous tweet that it was a PWO offer.
Guess since his parents are paying $73K a year for HS, they can easily afford to be out of pocket for tuition at Tulane.

Hun School of Princeton
Co-ed boarding school. 669 students, 95 teachers, or a 7:1 teacher student ratio. Tuition $73K a year. Maybe his family will become NIL donors.

Re: Interview with OC Joe Craddock
I was wonder more about the part "the culture wasn't bad, but can be improved". If we had full buy in, the culture shouldn't need improving. The players saw Willie have damn near both feet out the door and "come back" only because GT goofed. They saw Willie wink at the camera du...

Senior Bowl Stock Up and Stock Down Day 1: Senior Bowl Day 1 Stock Down Jha’Quan Jackson, WR, Tulane Jha’Quan Jackson isn’t going to be an overly imposing catch-point threat at 5’9″, 190 pounds, so he needs to prove he can separate consistently. He has the requisite athleticism, but on Tuesday, was...

Re: Interview with OC Joe Craddock
Excellent job! Well done. I found this part of one of his responses very interesting, though. "Culture wasn’t necessarily bad but can be improved. I think an area of improvement will be toughness." I wonder if what he saw was just the aftermath of Fritz leaving, or something else? I mean, ...

Re: QB Ty Thompson
Bo Nix is having a rough time at the Senior Bowl, Not a good reflection that Thomson did not have a run to beat Nix out at Oregon!!! Mike Giardi @MikeGiardi Bo Nix had a rough four-play stretch during team - a dropped snap, missed a pair of open receivers (Barner on skinny, Corley on short stop bet...

Re: 2024 Football Recruiting Class
The funny thing about punters is, its a skill that exactly translates to the next level. If you've got the leg and a fast kick time, its not like some other position where the players are bigger and faster and stronger, and you have to adjust to the speed of the game. The speed is exactly the same. ...

That's what the bio said. He's 2024 so if he was getting an FBS scholarship you'd think he'd already have it. I am not saying one way or another on this player but in the past we have given scholarships to some highly rated kickers per these kicking schools and they didn't pan out. Esnard was the l...

If you caught the last line of Garland's report, he mentioned that Ty Thompson helped recruit Preston. That should give some indication of what Ty Thompson's expectations are. So glad to see guys that want to be here. When you've got 20+ offers, no matter who the schools are, Tulane must be doing so...

The only thing we can hope is that AD David Harris is a serious basketball fan and sees the same things we're seeing, and gets rid of Hunter after the season.

Re: FOOTBALL TRANSFER PORTAL 2023
More evidence of just how much money is being spent in NIL. Ohio State's NIL "budget" is $13M. A "budget" would imply that its PER YEAR. And you KNOW Ryan Day isn't referring to the school's ENTIRE NIL budget for all sports. He's referring to the only thing that matters to HIM, ...
