Re: Houston Game Day Thread
Good to see we wasted a year on Powell sitting on sidelines while we only won 2 games. guess we will be the same next year with an inexperienced qb

Re: Nebraska game
Conroy can't make a dent in local recruiting, talent wise. Only way he got Dabaney is probably because he blew out his knee and teams backed off of him. ther than that, I don't recall anyone lcoally who he has been able to recruit. Only basketball I will be paying to see is the women. At least they ...
Re: Baseball
Jones and Stockton are the only coaches who have had success lately AND who weren't hired by these two numb nuts in charge. Yes, that's it, lets get rid of Jones and let RD and SC hire another bust. Also, look at how the landscape has changed on Jones. Can only give partial scholarships and t...

Tulane's whole OOC schedule is cheese puffs. We should only have 1 loss heading into Cusa play.

Judging from the pictures of the game, doesn't look like many fans attended either.

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
Ed Daniels and Ken Trahan pretty much summed up the total incompetence of this administration. It's not about the stadium. Superdome is fine. Problem is you need to win! noone will come to stadium if we keep losing like we have been for so long. Sure, 1st year may show spike in attendance due to cur...

Rummel has had a great defense the past few years. Hope we are recruiting some of them. I would also like to see us go after Rummel qb D Williams. Could be a heck of an athlete, if not qb.

So these recruits don't care that we only had about 2,000 fans at the game? I just hope CJ can work his magic. Unless Powell can be redshirted, he still needs to get a few series per game in. IMO

All the more reason to show how lucky we are to have Lisa Stockton as our womens basketball coach. Amazing how long she has been able to keep her program going even with beavis and butthead making it so tough to be able to succeed.

To schedule the women's basketball home opener vs La Tech to start the same time the men are in Ga playing Ga Tech. Brilliant!!

Re: Tanner Lee
We will see how good he really is when the Rummel Raiders play them this weekend. This will let me know how good he could be playing qb for Tulane. If he has a bad game, then we will have yet another year of rebuilding to wait for at Tulane. Unless, Powell gets some reps the rest of this year, we wi...

Re: The bottom-line question
Looks like Cowen the prick won. I'm so sick of watching this garbage, I didn't even bother to worry about the game today. Until the alumni rally and get rid of this ahole, I will not bother going to anymore games this year. I am contemplating giving up my season tickets for good. Wasting too many Sa...

Sounds like we need to get a Lee Zurick undercover investigation on Cowen. Talk about a scam, he would have so much pressure from within, he just might resign!

Really, you think RD fires him after one year? Heck, they extended Toledo even though he never had a winning season. Plus, what is the differnce if RD is making the hire. He hasn't hired a proven winner yet.

Easy to say that in New Jersey. You aren't wasting your Saturdays in an empty stadium watching an O line play with no heart.

Re: What is YOUR "no mas" point?
Put a fork in me - I'm done. After 35+ years of going to Tulane games(I'm 44), this is the lowest of lows. I won't be back until Cowen and Dickson are gone. Should they stick around too much longer, I will have found other things to do than waste my $$$ going to see this sorry a$$ program. Looks lik...

Re: Ole Miss 39 - Tulane 0
Toledo was a joke. Never had a QB, except his 1st year when Anthony played. CJ needs to figure out how to make the Off work. OK, your line sucks, we get that. So quit trying the same d@mn plays running the ball. Loosen up the D by running the line one way and pitch it to your speedy RB the other way...

Re: Rick Jones' Future
No, the worst that can happen is that we do let RJ go. Then we hire someone who can't maneuver the problems Tulane faces with limited schollies and tuition costs too much for great local players to come here. Instead of 35+ wins/ year and on the bubble, we end up with 20-25 wins / year and another p...

Well, my son just started Jesuit. I have already told him he is too smart to waste all the $$ I sent him to private schools to end up at LSU. If he choses to go there, that will be on his dime. I'm sure he will get Tops and a scholarship, but no way LSU will get a buck from me. No, I didn't go to Tu...

Re: Stadium Capacity ( 21K, 23K, 25K, 5K SRO ??? )
It really isn't fair to look at this games attendance. The River Parishes were slammed for Isaac, many people still without power for the game, and some were still evacuated. Let's see how the next home game plays out. I do think OCS is way too small, unless we plan on staying in CUSA. That is what ...

Re: Rutgers 24 TU 12
Augwave, you are dead on. In the 1st series, we get a great play called back by a chop block down field. Add a couple of false starts and a dropped pass by the TE that was wide open(beautiful play calling), and we would have been knocking at the door in Rutgers territory. Momentum is so fragile in a...

OUG, that sr tailback did not murder someone. He stabbed someone in the quarter after a bunch of punks beat up a family member. Should have gotten off, but he went with a family friend as a lawyer, instead of a good defense lawyer. Wasn't able to show video of the fight in court due to incompetent l...

Re: CJ will be live on Ch 6 "in the hot seat" 10:30pm
Which is all the more reason to start D Powell at QB. With a porous off line, Powell could scramble and find more time - a la T. Jones. If not, Griffin will either get sacked or throw the pick 6 int.
