Re: New day and age
Baseball starts Friday, spring football practice begins in March with a new HC and a completely new coaching staff, we have a new AD and a University President and BOT, who have gotten the picture and are moving ahead. It don't get no better than this!

Re: NEW BASKETBALL COACH
There is no reason to fire Conroy until the season is over. We would still have to pay him. The season is a disaster as it is, how could he mess it up more. We want a sitting BB HC to take over, no assistants, to take over. No retreads. He has had 5 years to do the job and has not got it done. He sh...

Re: My simple analysis
As Yogi Berra said "it ain't over, til it's over". Now that the dust has settled and the class is locked down, I look for Coach Fritz to look for a couple of Graduate OL or possibly go the JUCO route with some of the JC's in Texas to fill the gaps. I think we may have the scholarships to d...

Re: Up to date Rivals Class rankings
Not real sure how Rivals arrives @ these numbers. They have SMU listed as #68, with 23 commits - 3/3*. TU is listed at #90, with 23 commits - 3/3*. Same figures, yet 22 spots difference? Just goes to show that it is all just guess work. It all hinges on what the coaches do with the personnel they ar...

Conroy is history, no matter what he does in the next 10 games (no more than 1 or 2 wins). Once he is gone, what do we do with the non-athletic group of players that he recruited. They need to go also. They are slow, can't drive to the basket, can't shoot and stink on free throws! How bad can it get?

Re: Ed Daniels article on Coach Fritz team meeting
It will be interesting to see who really gets serious about the program. We'll know more, after spring practice, about the returning players and early enrollees. The recruiting picture is getting more interesting day by day and I don't think you will see any overweight linemen in this class. WF know...

It was fun watching coaches who knew what they were doing. Excellent adjustments @ half-time. Hope most of them come to TU w/WF.

Re: Quarterbacks Available
We need a real athlete @ QB. Someone with a real, on the field, presence, who knows what to do and when to do it. Someone who has a natural knack for moving the ball. My belief is that WF is going to find someone who fits the bill, whether it be, graduate transfer, JUCO or a new recruit for 2016. En...

Re: Giovanni LaFrance has decommitted
With a coaching change, decommitments are to be expected. Better that they happen now, rather than later, so that WF can get the type of player he wants to get off to a solid beginning. We needed some spots for a graduate transfer or 2, especially at QB. Maybe a qualified JUCO or 2. This last CJ tea...

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search
I would like to get some opinions as to the coaching staff changes that must occur for TU to be successful on the field.
We probably all agree that Price, Price , McDonnell and Lichtenberger must go. D staff will be interesting. Who stays, who goes. Would appreciate your insights and inputs.

Re: Press conference
Things sure do look a lot better now than they did 3 months ago. We're have a new, dynamic A/D and we will be getting a new football H/C soon. It seems that Dr. Fitts and the BOT are on board for a new era in TU sports. I haven't been this excited about TU sports since 1998.

Re: Tulane's New AD - Troy Dannen from NIU
After reading Dannen's bio, I got a real smell of success. It looks like he gets it and knows what to do to bring TU back to where it should be. RD now needs to move out of the way and let Dannen quickly move forward. One nice thing about this hire is the fact that he has no ties to anyone on any of...

Re: AD and coach prediction
Gentlemen, don't get your hopes up. This whole process is beginning to stink and I fear that you will not like the AD or HC hire because it will be typically TU inadequate to change the future of TU athletics, especially football, on which the whole TU athletic structure hinges. Every day that passe...

Re: Tulsa GameDay Thread
Shows just what very poor coaching can do. Joseph made some mistakes a the end of the game, but he showed that a QB with mobility can put some points on the board. Why wasn't he given more time on the field earlier in the season to give him some game experience. CJ made the decision to tout Lee and ...

Re: Potential Offensive Coordinator Candidates
Whatever happens, we need a good, mobile QB and we don't even have one recruited, as I am under the impression that our 1 QB recruit is a pocket passer and I don't know about his mobility or if we can even hang on to him the way the season is going. 2016 does not look bright because we are probably ...

Re: UCONN Gameday Thread- Just another loss 7-3
This is one of the worst coached TU football teams I have seen in my 67 years of following the Green Wave. Keep LW and J. Rollins and get rid of the rest, hire an aggressive A/D, a young, aggressive O/C who knows and can run a spread type offense and most important, hire someone with head coaching e...

Re: Memphis Gameday Thread-Another Ass Whipping 41-13
With the retirement of Frank Breamer @ Va. Tech, there are now 10 open FBS coaching positions. CJ(and take the offensive coaching staff with him) needs to go, but if TU pulls the plug, they had better do it early or all of the top quality coaching talent will be gone. A top quality A/D, with P5 expe...

Re: Memphis Gameday Thread-Another Ass Whipping 41-13
How in the world could any school, in their right mind, hire Eric Price as an offensive coach or O/C. He is living off his father's reputation like his brother is. TU was moving the ball by giving JJ some latitude with the plays, then suddenly Price went pure vanilla, going 3 & out, over & o...

Re: We don't want Scott Sidwell
The new AD must be hired from the Athletic Department of a P5 school and must have real time football and basketball operations experience. Anything less indicates "small time" at its' apex. We must get relevant ASAP to even be considered if a new round of conference realignments come abou...

Re: We don't want Scott Sidwell
If the new AD comes from any place other than a major football program school, this will sound the death knell for TU football. It would also show me that SC is still running things with Fitts and the BOT as his fellow incompetents.

Re: CJ on the "Hot Seat" for 2015
4 games would be winnable with a competent offensive coaching staff, but with E. Price running the offense, the possibility of winning 4 of the last 5 games is far from reality. We know Memphis can run up the score as high as they want to, so mark up a loss on this one. SMU, Tulsa and UConn have all...

Re: Navy Gameday Thread - Another Loss 31-14
I guess Lee has added a new dimension to his game repertoire to go with his killer interceptions. He now fumbles on a QB keeper. on the goal line, carrying the ball like a loaf of bread. Any 2nd year HS QB knows to cover up the ball with TWO HANDS on a play like this. This play was the games turning...

Re: My Case for Firing CJ Saturday
I have a solution to our problem. Let's give all the TU players a 4" high participation trophy at the end of the season. Since they play like "little leaguers", they need to be rewarded accordingly. All the coaches, except CJ, get a 4" high plaque, with CJ getting a 6" high ...

Re: Line Now Houston 17 & 1/2 pts. > Wave
This game will be over by the end of the 1st quarter. The Houston QB will make our D look very bad and the O line will be its' usual slow, ineffective self. The play calling will be sand lot and predictable. Houston scores 2 or more TD's and as usual, the TU players hang their heads and quit. Turned...
