Re: whole lotta cheatin' goin on

Has Will Wade been under investigation? The posters on Tigerdroppings all claim that LSU is not under investigation, but that the taped conversation that lead to his suspension is going to be used by a defendant in the scandal as an exhibit for the defense. It seems to me if he's been suspended, LS...

Re: Let's Play "Did Ya' Know "

And that the kingdom in Kansas City included Omaha And prior to the Kings' annexation of Omaha, they were the Cincinnati Royals of Oscar Robertson fame. Kansas City likes royalty. They move the Cincy Royals to town, renamed them, but kept the royal theme, the Kings; the baseball team is the Royals....

You are correct. Dannen said he would raise 35M and not a peep since that promise a few months into his tenure . Let us hope he is close and is just waiting to go over the top . But I doubt that. Also on Dannen , he needs to fire our pitching coach as well as Dunleavy . Another brilliant post! You ...

Charlie Brown's teacher: Noise, and non-sensical. So what, we had two players that have seen a couple of minutes in the NBA. How many games did he win with that "NBA talent"? Not enough to make ANYONE happy. 4-26 is 4 and 26 and will be 4 and 26 until it thankfully ends at 4-27. Four wins ...

Re: Troy You Must Fire Dunleavy

A topic ww and I agree upon! The kids played their hearts out tonight, and I wanted to focus on that rather than rant about how bad a job our highest paid coach in Tulane Basketball history is doing. I feel for the kids, but know a change MUST be made. Otherwise we know we're capped at somewhere les...

Re: Historical Loss As Wave loses 20th straight To WSU 82-79 to Go Winless In Conference

The players played their hearts out, especially in the second half. I totally agree, Robert, they deserved this win. I don't get the last 1/2 second at all, especially since, in the announcers words, it took 14 minutes to play. They should have gotten it right. One referee had a foul on WSU, the oth...

Re: Wave loses 20th straight WSU 82-79

We got screwed. Baseline ref called a foul, which had to be on the WSU player that dove on top of Daniels leading with his forearm. Then to give them the ball...even if it was a jump ball we had the possession arrow. And I'm not positive the ball was out of the kid from Louisiana's hands when the cl...

Re: WSU Game 2 Thread

Daniels was fouled with the ball while on the floor. Ref blew the whistle and was calling the foul. Now they put 1/2 a second on the clock and WSU ball. This is total BS

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

It's been three years of successively worse basketball. The program is headed in the wrong direction, and either Dunleavy steps down or Dannen needs to fire him. Mid season vote of confidence be damned; it's been over a year since we won a conference game. Dunleavy was hired and is paid to win games...

Re: LSU basketball & Wade are in big trouble

How many programs in the field of 68 teams do you think there's no payments taking place? 30? Get real, this is widespread. And the NCAA will come in as a holier than thou judge and jury, yet the NCAA is making huge amounts of money off of these kids. It is a billion dollar industry.

Re: LSU basketball & Wade are in big trouble

I say let them play while the coach is sitting out. They've had a great year, and the kids in the program, both paid and unpaid, deserve to play out the season. It's not like this isn't happening at a bunch of other NCAA tournament bound schools, LSU just happens to be in the spotlight this week. Th...

Re: LSU is moving on rumors focus on Dunleavy talks.

Maybe the rumors are that Dunleavy is having talks about his contract being bought out at a discount, or coming to an agreement where he'll step down. Maybe we're starting the rumors. Either way, we need a new coach by the end of this month.

Re: FINAL BASKETBALL RPI

I don't think we win another game, but our RPI lands at 311. No science or calculations, just like taking a quick pick on the lottery. All I know is there's roughly 320 D1 basketball programs, and we're one of the worst! And yes, I think some D2 (or even lower) programs that are well coached would s...

I like and respect Will Wade a whole lot more than Steven A Smith. But that's not saying much. Smith on ESPN is like an angry version of Don King. He comes on, I change the channel immediately.

Despite the mid season vote of confidence, there MUST be a change at Head Coach. I hope MD steps down, saving TD from firing him.

Two more years of Dunleavy at a minimum, watch in amazement the turnaround next year, that will shut your mouths forever!!! 10 wins won't shut our mouths. And we're praying he steps down or is fired, despite the TD vote of confidence earlier this year. You might be the only person on the planet tha...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Colgate is every bit the academic institution that Tulane is, on a smaller scale. I'd take Langel in a heartbeat. But I still like Larry Cordaro, and think we could get him at a reasonable price, and extend him a year or two after success at the going AAC medium coaching salary. The guy just wins. H...

Re: Will Hall

I hope he stays here for a couple of years. It seems to me like this could be similar to RR and TB in the later stages of the 1990's. We have a very solid D returning, if our O can play wide open and put AAC type numbers up, we could compete for a conference championship quickly. Great article. Let'...
