Re: UAB Prediction Thread

Here's what my head says, and I hope I'm wrong here. UAB 27 Tulane 21 This game has all the markings of last year's game at FIU. And I don't like the Coaches and Players talking about "taking care of business against a lower team." Army and Houston (under Major Applewhite) are the biggest wins of t...

Re: Nicholls St. Game Day Thread:

Thank god for Dauphine, Mooney and Banks. I do believe teams can better as the season goes on. Hopefully our young guys on D do that. We will play a lot better offenses as the season goes on and they will light up the scoreboard on us if we don't get better. As for the O-line our skill players over...

Re: Wake Forest Game Day Thread

Our offensive line continues to suck. Thank god Banks is mobile. Our play calling is an abomination. Our offensive staff has no idea how to utilize our speedsters in space. No idea at all. Our D sucked against a third string QB. Their line is so overrated. They won't do anything in the ACC. A terri...

Re: Justin McMillan enrolls at Tulane

It's quite refreshing that we are finally getting some depth at QB. I almost feel spoiled that we now have a backup in case Banks goes down and the way Banks runs, we know he's going to get dinged up throughout the season. Things are looking up. Happy Friday and ROLL DAMN WAVE!

Re: Transfer

Welcome aboard Freddy “feet” Canteen. He has great foot speed but was not able to find playing time at Michigan or Notre Dame. Michigan was excited for him when they recruited him and his foot speed and agility was off the charts, but it never translated to d1 completion. Hopefully we can utilize him.

Re: 2018 O Line Ranked "Elite"

I'm all for pre-season hype about our program, but like D has said, if you have watched our O-line play the last couple of years, they are far from being dominant. Our o-line looked a bit better last year (more in shape), but there were glaring problems which led to the turnstile type offensive line...

Re: Football Notebook

Thanks for the link, win. Good read. Fritz said returning senior punter Zach Block, who averaged 39.2 yards last year, will have to win an open competition with incoming freshman Ryan Wright to retain his job. I can only hope our punting game gets better with the arrival of Ryan Wright (my fingers ...

Re: Spring Practice

Under the new rules it appears we are at the max and can't bring anyone else this season. Yikes. Fritz seems like he's building a solid program bottom up and this should be a corner turning year. However we're one knee/ankle/shoulder injury away from same old same old Tulane. Finally we get a disci...

Re: Dishonest Question

Considering how crappy this program has been fo so long, this is just as bad as the death penalty. Worse I'd argue. All those top teams have shown that if you can put together 5/10 years of good to great basketball then you can get through the sanctions and retain the prestige. Louisville became a ...

What a disappointing last possession for the green wave. Ugly shot selection that led to an airball while coach Dunleavy is screaming to foul someone and players checked out.

I believe Tulane (and anyone else for that matter) can have as many "recruits" as they want. But only 25/yr. can be on scholarship. I assume the 75 additional Academy "recruits" are not on an athletic scholarship. I believe the Academics do not have tuition but stipends are paid (to all students). ...
