Re: The Most Offensive Team Nicknames
☠️ ⬆️ Dangerous link; Steve, please remove. This has been happening fairly often lately; a new poster with a link to a dangerous site. I don't want to get Draconian about it but maybe new posters shouldn't be allowed to post links until they've established a little history. I have seen that done on...

Re: A Multi Million $$$$ question
Richard Yulman wanted his name on a football stadium, not a practice facility or dining hall or library or latrine. How unfortunate it is that he did not listen to winwave but instead spent his own money the way he wanted and not the way winwave wanted.

Re: Rice U. Kicks of $100m Fundraiser
We’ll be losing to Rice soon. No doubt. And they will quickly pass us on the P5 Hopefuls List. This is exactly the kind of commitment that we need, and can’t get out of Gibson Hall. Somebody could drop a $100 million on us tomorrow and we still wouldn't get in a P5. That ship has sailed.

Is this some kind of sabermetrics? What do we learn from knowing the endowment-per-student ratio other than ours is very low compared to almost every one else?tpstulane wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 10:54 pm https://www.reachhighscholars.org/colle ... ments.html

[quote=Aberzombie1892 post_id=231362 time=1635008937 Markets don’t matter as much anymore - what matters is alumni engagement and interest from casual sports fans as evidenced by viewership. The Big 12 will still have that in spades - relative to the AAC - even though it will make less than the upc...

Re: Women’s Bowling takes title
God Bless them but I don't want to hear about women's bowling. Honestly, IDGAF about women's sports in general. I'd like to see them covered in their own forum, not The Huddle. I already have the vb guy on my foe list. (Nothing against you personally, vb.)

Re: The New AAC
Walking home from Yulman on openig day I encountered a female grad student (from out-of-town) who bemoaned the money wasted on the stadium as opposed to being used to bolster academics. I know every college has those types but they seem a lot more plentiful around Tulane. I also want to add that the...

Re: The New AAC
Someone explain to me how urban commuter schools with no national profile became football powers. Memphis, Cinci, Houston, Louisville for a time. I'd think those would be the last places to have those kind of resources. I'll give you Houston and Fertitta. Louisville had the Papa John's guy and Memp...

Re: Vote on the worst Tulane AD in the last 50 or so years.
I think some of y'all are nuts, but this is nothing new. First, in the poll Hindman Wall is given credit for beating LSU thrice but nothing is mentioned about the Wally English fiasco much less the shutting down of the basketball program. Any other candidate on this poll would have to literally mur...

Re: Next Wave of Re-Alignment
I think what many fail to realize is that we have ZERO/NOTHING to offer any conference. - No winning teams - No fan base - No facilities - No impressive resume To everyone on the outside, we should be exactly where we are. The way we feel and think on this board is the exception, not the norm. The ...

Re: Just fire him
Six years in is not a lack of patience nor an itchy trigger finger. At a program historically bad as Tulane it is. Fritz is the best coach we've had in over twenty years and in the top five of the last seventy-five years, He took over a program left in complete shambles by CJ and brought us to thre...

Re: Just fire him
If we fire Fritz after three straight bowl games (the first time in the school's history) we will have a tough time replacing him. Who would want the job? We have a history of being awful, have little administrative help, a miniscule fan base, and the conference we're in just got a lot less prestigi...

Seriously what does firing Willie Fritz accomplish. Who in their right mind would take this job? Let's look at a few out of their mind coaches, who may take the gig..."Coach Prime'..."RichRod'...Kevin Sumlin....Tom Herman... "Coach Prime" would not be offered and even if he were...

Re: Houston GameDay Thread
Personally I think when you make one player bigger than life, the team is looking for him to win the game and others don't have the excitement. The team and fans putting Pratt on a pedestal may have been negative to this point. When physically he can't deliver it hurts the team. We need others to f...
