Re: Wonder What They're Saying Now
Can we just have a reasonable reaction? Somewhere in between doom and gloom and Tulane could compete in SEC? For the first time in the 8 years I've been a fan fb and bball have some consistency and vision. I'm enjoying it! I have you beat by a little over a year and a half... I guess we're the youn...

Gotta take care of business! Absolutely inexcusable if we don't finish 10-2 or higher OOC. Our rpi is up to 84 right now. ESPN bpi currently at 189. Kenpom has us at 139. Miami rpi is 215, bpi is 279, kenpom is 284. Miami body of work: @Fordham (150 rpi) 55-54 W Wright St (310 rpi) 73-67 W LIU-Broo...

Re: Baby Isla helps Wave whip Houston 20-17
Definitely good for us, that's for sure. Its the same thing every G5 program needs to deal with. If you don't replace a good hire with another good hire, you'll regress back to mediocrity. Which is why most of us are in G5s and not P5s. Every football team has to deal with this, not just G5 programs.

Fritz isn't bringing in better talent and than what is leaving. He needs to step up his recruiting game and hire a guy well connected to the Louisiana high schools. In his first two seasons I can't think of a freshman who has wowed me on offense or defense. I’m not sure that is totally fair. There ...

Re: Tulane crushes Colorado State 80-53
The AAC is having a very bad day. ECU is losing to CCSU. Tulsa is about to slip to 2-2. Houston laid an egg at home. The top of the conference (Temple, SMU, Cincy, WSU, UConn, and maaaybe Memphis) will be very good - but there are landmines everywhere. Disagree that we had a bad day. Conferences ar...

Re: Colorado State Game Thread
Fordham could be an interesting game on Sunday. Will need to keep up our intensity level. Fordham is picked to finish at or near the bottom of the A-10. We should continue our streak of blowouts. They haven't been very good since Digger Phelps left. I wasn’t commenting on the historical or current ...

17-2 at second media break! Anyone that think Fogelman is a HS gym should look at the arena they're playing in Jamaica. I think Tulane has an advantage because we're used to playing in a small, empty gym! Goes without saying, but “arena” is a bit of a misnomer. Most of these Caribbean tournaments a...

This is going to be — probably — the toughest league schedule we have played in 15 years maybe, since pre-2003 CUSA with Louisville, Marquette, Cincinnati, etc. Losses: @Temple, SMU, @Memphis, @SMU, @ECU, Temple, @Tulsa, @Houston, Memphis, @wichita, Cincy, @UCF Wins: Tulsa, UConn, Houston, USF, ECU,...

Re: Memphis 56 - Tulane 26
JV coach, JV results. 1.2 million dollars well spent But if we hired Andy Cannizaro to coach the 4th most important sport, all would be well in Greenie land. What a crock of sh*t post. Our 2017 team would beat our 2014 (N.O. Bowl) team by double digits. I sure wish we hired Dino Babers, Scott Frost...

Re: Tulane crushed by Memphis 56-26
To a certain extent, both sides are correct. On one hand, Tulane would not have the current recruits committed to it right now if it were in CUSA, and, on the other hand, most, if not all, of the CUSA programs could not defend Fritz's offense even if Fritz had to deal with lesser recruits. The latt...

Polls are polls - they are subjective and I don't really trust them. I'll say this, the Massey Composite index, which combines over 100 different computer rankings with different methodologies, has things as follows: Oklahoma: 8 Memphis: 23 USF: 31 Navy: 35 Houston: 41 SMU: 44 Army: 64 FIU: 77 Tulsa...

Re: CFP Question
So they put Alabama in. Can they really leave an undefeated Georgia out? And hard to argue with a 12-1 ND and an undefeated Penn State. So lets say you go with undefeated GA and Penn St and one-loss ALA and ND. So where does that leave undefeated TCU, an undefeated Miami, and one loss Ohio State an...

Re: Mike Leach says CFB should have a real playoff, not 4 teams
When someone can show me a case where the best team in the country was not included in the 4-team playoff, I will reconsider. When high schools start travelling across the country for playoffs and conducting week-long media sessions, they can be compared to the NCAA. For the NFL, it's a profession....

Fritz system won’t be successful at the P5 level. You don’t see winning P5s running option. The best talent that aspire to play in the NFL will opt for pro style systems that best prepares them for pro ball. So he can go to Kansas have a couple of 4-8 or 6-6 type seasons with the occasional upset a...

I also think we're going to beat one of those teams we're not supposed to. USF is the game I would circle. It’s at home, and I honestly don’t think Flowers is going to beat us with his arm. They’re a good but flawed team. They make a lot of mental mistakes. They haven’t played a defense as good as ...

Crazy but because of this there’s now talk of paying the players directly. So once again bad behavior could be rewarded. Don’t be shocked if NIKE is also involved. My guess is this will cause a round of that "time to leave the NCAA and pay players" talk to start again in the media and the H...
