here it is - looks like 25,000 to me (but I'm not wearing vermilion and white glasses): https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bw4o4ySCEAAq1fF.jpg:large Look, ULL has a great thing going right now, and their Admin's vision is something us TU fans can only dream about. However, ask any ULL fan and they will adm...

Re: Tulsa 38 - Tulane 31 2-OT
I think we all need to slow down a bit before we anoint Lee as the second coming and start projecting him to go pro as a RS Soph (I think Manziel was the first QB ever to do that). Lee had about as good a game as we could have asked for. However, we have no idea what Tulsa has this year, and he didn...

Re: Tulsa 38 - Tulane 31 2-OT
After all that went wrong in the 2nd qtr/2nd half, we had a chance to win the game because of Badie's 70+ yd run down to the 8 with 2 mins left. Inexcusably, we didn't sub Badie, and instead ran him up the middle for a rather predictable no gain. We then threw a fade out of the back of the end zone ...

Re: Let's be honest.....
Unfortunately was not able to watch the game until the 4th quarter but a couple of play calls that really made no sense to me were the fade on 2nd down before Dirocco shanked it and the toss to short field on 2nd and 4 on the opening drive of OT. Both were crucial downs that we wasted. Don't get me ...

This is correct. Hightower was named starting QB as a true freshman before the season and started until breaking his back.billow wrote:George Sweeney wrote that Hightower started his first as a frosh Looney 2nd string Didn't Shaun King start a few his frosh year after Aley D got hurt

Re: Potential Tulane Baseball Coaching Candidates
Can someone please explain why Gautreau is being given anything other than a courtesy interview? What in the world has he done at Tulane, or elsewhere to warrant serious consideration for this position? He may very well make a great coach one day, but he has done nothing up to this point to deserve ...

Re: Potential Tulane Baseball Coaching Candidates
I heard some disappointing reports re: how practices were conducted after RJ left this season, which would seem to explain the mental lapses this year and cast serious doubt over whether Gautreau would be the right man for the job at this point. Also, I heard an interesting rumor recently that RJ st...

I am sure this has been discussed before, but do we have any clear understanding as to the expansion capacity of Yulman?
Thanks in advance.

That picture also seems to confirm that there is at least some seating on the visitors' side that will be obstructed by the press box. How in the world do you screw that up? I know this has been mentioned before, but haven't seen that it was confirmed. That pictures sure seems to end that speculati...

Re: Baseball Preview @ San Francisco Tournament
The bats have gotten consistently worse over the last decade or so. Offensively, we need a spark beyond talent. Look at what has happened with ULL since they hired Matt Deggs away from A&M - batting average rose 60 points in one year. IMHO, Jones deserves to ride into the sunset, but he needs to...

Re: New President Is Michael Fitts
Put me in the 'wait and see' group. Fitts being a lawyer, one could argue that he carefully chose his words re: D-1 status. Also, I would've preferred a stronger statement regarding athletics - seemed more 'status quo' support, than strong commitment to excellence in athletics. In fact, it almost se...

I thought Young, Dupre, Alexander and McGraw were all still up for grabs. I heard early on that we had a shot at Dupre - haven't heard anything since then.

Is there an outside chance, or are there even any rumors floating around, that we snag one or some of the uncommitted Curtis kids?
I know the recruiting services have us nowhere on their radar. Just hoping for surprises..

And I would think that proves, beyond a doubt unless someone can provide documents to the contrary, that we are still, 129 years later, the University of Louisiana . So in effect, ULL IS trying to hijack our legally given name. Maybe ex-flash, or whomever that ULL fan poster over here is, needs to ...

LSU's business school is ranked ahead of TU's now and from my experiences with LSU engineers I feel LSU's electrical engineering program was on par with TU's. Re: Tulane 39 - South Alabama 41
Absolutely pathetic. This is on everyone from administration on down. This is a low rent athletic program and that's why these losses routinely happen to TU. It's on the players to play, and I think the L proves they didn't today (you won't convince me USA has more talent). As for coaching, well, yo...

Per a very good source said athletic friendly majors will be in place this fall. Also heard the door is finally wide op...

Re: Tulane's 1973 14-0 win over LSU rated 9th greatest momen
Considering it was termed the single greatest moment in the history of Tulane sports, I doubt there will be another TU moment on the list. I realize that that's what a lot of people say, but think about this: even if you're someone to whom the TU-LSU rivalry means a lot why wouldn't you think of th...

Aresco publicly recognizes same problems everyone but TU sees. Is this commonplace for conference CEOs now?
