Re: Auburn defeats Oregon 27-21

But the problem is, despite the level of competition, the AAC doesn't have the bling to attract new fans to Tulane games. There's too much competition, particularly with such a heavy LSU alumni population. Remember, they graduate about 4-5 times as many every year, year in and year out.

Re: Attendance

It gives them recovery time but no extra practice time . The problem is we do it no matter what the next game is. The school doesn’t control the timing of the game. Thursday night is much better than a Saturday day game if that was the other option. The school does when it's a non conference home g...

The Dominator plays at 5 EDT today versus Daniil Medvedev. It should be on ESPN, we'll see. He's playing in the stadium, which probably means in front of the biggest crowd of his life.

Re: Auburn vs Oregon

It’s not about being good, in order to get P5 TV contracts. It’s about having a lot of fans, big attendance, and even bigger TV audiences—that’s what ESPN and any other outlets want. Wins are fine, but fans are even better. The wins bring fan bases. Hopefully. But Boise St. has been winning for a l...

There's an independent minor league baseball team 1/2 hour from me (and a half-hour from NYC) that has a good thing going for years now, FREE ample parking, ticket prices designed to contrast with pro sports, kid-friendly stadium (with some lawn seating), a variety of quality food and beverage reas...

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/27493894/houston-home-dana-holgorsen-big-rebuild UH is serious about wanting the next invite to a P5. They're outspending us by millions on coaches salaries, and have far better facilities. The article is very revealing. It starts at the top from the...

THIS.

Top 25 talk is way premature at this point. Let's see if we can hang with a top 15 team. We haven't beaten a ranked team in 35+ years.

We are going to play to win vs Auburn. We will perform much better than many of you believe. The best QB will be wearing an Angry Wave helmet. If we keep the clock rolling in the first half, this game won’t get away from us. We will be 2 TD underdogs at the least. The best QB on the field is the on...

I still haven't been to the new Giants stadium (MetLife Stadium, 10th season) because of the traffic, costs of parking, costs of concessions, etc. At my age it's a whole lot easier to watch on my couch than it is enjoyable to fight the traffic and crowds. I'll take my boys to West Point, and maybe t...

Re: Auburn vs Oregon

What a classic college football game. Auburn true Frosh (and one of the top recruits in the country) throws a TD pass with 9 seconds left for the win. He's not really a Freshman any more.

The Auburn win will just make it so much sweeter when we pull off the upset next week!

ROLL WAVE!

Re: Auburn vs Oregon

What is our current contract? I believe I read that we are receiving in the 8 Million range. Is this correct? No our CURRENT contract gives us about $1.5-2 million. The contract the AAC just signed gives each University roughly $7 million/year, starting next year. But the home team has to absorb al...

Don't have to read it. You haven't read it either. The contract isn't one line long saying we're paying you X amount for this period. Only a fool would believe that. I trust Aresco to have protected the conference going forward. Not in denial. Fortunately for Tulane and the AAC your wrong so often ...

Our stable is full of very talented running backs. "Blackwell" has a burst of speed you don't expect from a guy his size. Dauphine is a track star disguised as an RB. Jones has moves that are crazy and a burst of his own. And I haven't even gotten to Booker, and the Frosh (Spears?) McMilla...

The production cost won't be all that. He got us a good deal for now. Contracts are made to be broken. Plus as I stated various clauses in the contract will likely open the door if the situation develops the way were hoping for. When did you get to review the contract? I do not doubt that Aresco go...

Not impressed with RR’s debut as OC for Ole Miss, Rebels had only 173 yards total offense, 93 passing, 80 rushing. Memphis had 364 total yards offense, 172 passing, 192 rushing, but only 13 pts. + a safety. The Memphis Tigers are a very beatable opponent for our Wave. Thanks for the report 755! I'm...

Let's say (and I think this is conservative) production costs average $10k per game. It's probably more for football and less for basketball, but AVERAGE $10k. We have 6 or 7 home football games, 15+ home mens and women's basketball games. and 20-25 home baseball games. That's $580k before we talk a...
