Re: NO MORE
For the good of Tulane and all of it's supporters RD should announce his retirement at the end of this year. That would allow President Fitts and the board to begin the process of finding a bright, energetic, and up and coming AD with vision. Tulane has had some good ones prior to SC's arrival. Not...

Re: After 37 games
Last year's schedule was done with one thing in mind, to sell tickets and raise donations the quick and easy way for Yulman. That's it. It had nothing to do with CJ or anything else. Right. It was never about what was in the best interests of the football program. With Tulane it's always been how t...

Re: Tulane And The BIG XII
Looks like we are exactly where we should be -- the AAC with the other urban privates. Cincinnati, Louisville, Temple, etc. will never have the resources for P5 football. Ever. P5s are what they are because they had the money going in, not counting on it AFTER they're in the new conference. That's ...

Re: 2 - 10
I'm watching Cincy playing SMU and we are a better team than Cincy. Not. Out coached and out played the entire game. Standing with 2 - 10. RickyDick need to be fired TODAY. The new AD needs to fire all of the FB coaches. I'm now watching UCONN beating UCF 17-14 I'll agree 2-10 looks very likely. 3-...

Re: After 37 games
In fairness to Scelfo, he did not inherit that much talent from Bowden, Bowden had a Jr and Sr laden team the two years he coached at Tulane and left because he knew the talent level wasn't there. Especially with King being a Sr. HE LEFT BECAUSE HE GOT A BETTER OFFER. NOTHING TO DO WITH TALENT OR A...

Re: Cincinnati 38 - Tulane 14
I'm watching the UConn v. UCF game right now. Tied at 14 going into halftime. UConn now has played well the last two weeks against ECU and UCF arguably the two best teams in the conference. We shut UConn's offense down two weeks ago which makes it even more disappointing that we didn't show up last...

Re: Tulane And The BIG XII
Need to stop with these nonsense type threads. We will be lucky if the AAC doesn't give us the boot. Yeseterday did nothing to impact our chances at a P5. As some of us were posting here, that decision was cemented when we kept Rick Dickson and his facilities strategy of a 22K seat stadium and a 3....

Re: WHY WAS COACHING THREAD DELETED?
Is that what it's come to? Looks like it was moved not deleted If you would use the search feature you'd probably find another 100 coaches threads pages long. Steve is probably just trying to keep the board organized. We don't need a new coaches or RD thread after every game. http://gotula.net/view...

Re: New Member, Very unhappy after tonight.
The path to meaningful change is simple: Speak with your wallet. If donations and season ticket sales crater, Dickson will be gone. Money talks and bullsh*t walks. Fitts cannot be pleased in any way, shape or form with what he saw. If only the Big XII publicly said it crossed Tulane off the list of...

Re: NO MORE
It seems like the only way things get changed at Tulane is for someone to be publicly embarrassed. I can only hope Yulman, Hertz, Benson and the other lead donors have had enough embarrassment and will demand changes. I can just see next year Tulane will be back to drawing the same 3-5K fans in Yulm...

Re: Cincinnati 38 - Tulane 14
Yulman, Glazer, Hertz and Benson have their names, their millions, and their reputations all over The Stadium. Do they want it to be the home of a pathetic team playing in front of empty seats. If they have any pride, they will demand change! Bingo! That's the only way changes will be made. The onl...

Re: Cincinnati 38 - Tulane 14
I agree, CJ is not a Head Coach! The only way he will succeed in his present position is to hire strong assistants. We can see how badly a veteran coach like Barry Lamb is missed from this staff. In a school that is truly committed to its athletic program, CJ would be terminated after this season. ...

Re: After 37 games
It's not like Bowden encountered a winning culture. He created the culture. We had just gone through 5 years of Teevens, 4 of Davis and hadn't had a winning season in 16 years. He created his winning culture. If players wanted to play like wimps, he treated them like wimps and put the pink jerseys ...

Re: Punting on 3rd Down
We have no consistency. One week the offense bombs, next week it's the defense and every week it's something with the special teams. We have to put a solid all around football game. Just be patient TPS. Lee is the best thing since the wheel. Lee is only a freshman and he has been improving every we...

Dave you're right but the truth is many stopped buying tickets and giving long ago. Tulane has shown they could care less. Tulane is always right and the customer is always wrong. It's been 65 years of ignorance from Tulane. No matter what we do it will never change. That's the very sad truth of th...

Re: After 37 games
Scelfo inherited 12-0. CJ inherited Toledo. CJ is encountering the Tulane wall- the reality that winning football is not part of the campus culture and without the expectations, the players eventually fall into the malaise of "winning doesn't matter." Unfortunately this athletic administr...
