Re: Army Score Prediction Thread

Not extremely confident about this one. But we will win because we absolutely MUST.

Re: Fritz offense

This offense has much more in common with Memphis, TCU and every other zone read scheme than the "option" that we'll face this weekend. We lack a QB who can stretch the field with his arm. Until Fritz finds this QB we will continue to suck. This , unfortunately, is probably correct. We ha...

So give fritz 1 year and 3 games?

Re: Fritz offense

I said at the time of his hiring, I doubt Fritz can get the linemen to excel in this offense . Disagree. Military academies run option because you don't need p5 linemen that you can't get anyway. Linemen he had didn't fit what he wants to run. Spread option offenses are the same. Memphis can't get ...

Re: Oklahoma Game Thread

Tulane welcomes the challenge: http://www.nola.com/tulane/index.ssf/2017/09/fritz_tulane_welcomes_challeng.html#incart_river_index Right, coach, and I am looking forward to my upcoming root canal. There are maybe 2 or 3 teams in the country that can beat Oklahoma this year. We ain't one of em. 52-7

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

Larry and Mack were both 5-17 their first 2 seasons. Tougher schedules ? Absolutely, but I don't see Terrance Jones or Marc Zeno on our roster either. They had better players . I will give you Bowden. But still we've got no Shaun king or rich rod either. Some of us see something, some don't . That's...

And I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything. All I know is I've been watching this crap for over 40 years. Right now , I'm not embarrassed to wear a Tulane hat around town. And that's saying something for me. If I'm wrong I'll admit it. But I see a program building, that still has some deficien...

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

The strength of the staff is on the defensive side. We lost 2 great players and it looks like the same defense to me. I think it's a solid scheme. Offensively, I'm not convinced we have our qb on this roster. Maybe McClain , I don't know. Brantley is run first probably more suited for ga southern . ...

14 games in, win. 14 . Not a coach in America was going to right this ship, this roster, in 14 games. And I don't care who the defense loses. If it's not an above average aac unit, WF will own it.
One of the things I like about him.

I will be in you guys camp if we're having this conversation a year from now. But our problems are fixable and I believe we have a coach that can. Did fritz underrate how hard this would be? Absolutely. That doesn't mean he can't get it done

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

I get the frustration. Everyone is sick of the losing. Think back to 2,3 years ago, where we would go into a place like Annapolis utterly hopeless and defeated before the first snap. Then the coach would just say how awesome and unstoppable the opponent was week after week. We ran plays with 10 play...

Fritz is 158-77. He doesn't like losing more than we do. I'm sick to death of it. he is going to win here. It's more than likely not this season.

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

We're better than last year because our QB play is better and our defense is still strong. I projected 6-6 so I think we'll get that. I'm not panicking over this loss though I thought we would win today. But too many mistakes on the road. Still we're better than last year. If anyone is questioning ...

I wonder how many we lost that may have decided to go to the LSU/BYU game instead? The announced crowd for byu was 53,000. Which got the usual pat on the backs. But I felt that was very light , even with the circumstances. Season opener an hour away ? I thought that was a weak turnout for them If t...

Re: Grambling GameDay Thread-Wave wins 43-14

It's pointless to worry about attendance or even talk about it if we aren't winning. When we win everything will be fine. Until we are winning, talking about attendance is just navel gazing. Focus on what's on the field and forget about what's in the stands for awhile. If things go well on the fiel...

Re: Grambling GameDay Thread-Wave wins 43-14

I don't care about attendance anymore. its an interesting study. Could they sell more by simply putting them up, face value, no strings? Thing is, people across the nation are getting tired of this crap. I know lsu fans are dropping tix for the same issues. But they have demand
