Re: UCF/Memphis
My goodness . Who would choose to stay UCF when Nebraska calls. Nebraska is a hard job , but if you fix it you're a god. Or you can stay in Orlando and watch the playoffs on tv. If you fail you go to cusa and start over.

Re: UCF/Memphis
it's not the same Nebraska but he's gotta take it. Money aside, there isn't a coach on the planet that would stay at Ucf over Nebraska. He's 12-0 and not in the playoffs. Lincoln Riley had as good or better rep than frost so, we'll see. It's not an easy job anymore. Riley would actually be a good ta...

Re: Tulane beats Alcorn St. 81-65
The play was sloppy in the second half but some of that may be attributed to being up by so much and having one of Alcorn's best players out of the game. It's easy to tell yourself to keep playing hard, but it's a lot tougher to make yourself believe it. One thing is sure, they won't have to deal w...

Re: “Battle for the Rag” Once a great rivalry
What drives me crazy is that Tulane is capable of transcending that G5 label. There aren't many. BYU is another and they do a better job than us. But they have been hurt by that label too. I think it's that they're national universities and not some small directionals. I think Colorado-Colorado sta...

Re: Post season analysis
Willie Langham, Donnie Lewis JR., Jaylon Monroe, Stephon Lofton & Thakarius Keyes will be returning at CB next year. As yet, we do not have a cornerback in 2018 recruiting class. We have a total of 8 (scholarship) free & strong safeties returning. Who from this group can credibly show and e...

Re: Final call
seeing that video flips my opinion of if he got in. he did not. it also angers me even more about the play call as now it is clear that it was not the right play. kick a field goal go to overtime and win it there. still a gut wrenching loss but a pathetic excuse for play calling. Banks changed the ...

Re: Final call
IMHO I feel like we should have run a quick pass play then run Hilliard when it got down to the obvious last play call. I would not have played for OT on the road. Just seemed like us without a good kicker and their pass game was better, they would have been the favorite to win in OT. I believe fri...

Re: SMU Game Thread
I agree 100% galvez. You are not out in the wilderness in your thinking. Most fans see it your way. Don't let the yoggie types keep you from calling it like it is. Pretty sure Galvez drinks the green yoggie Kool Aid based on his above comment that we return several playmakers on defense. That’s a s...

Re: SMU Game Thread
Can we stop with the narrative that Willie almost lost the team? Who originated this? Someone saw Banks yelling on the sideline? I'm betting he was pissed he misread his RPO read again. I'm connected as well as most with the players and coaches and not once has anyone with the program mentioned los...

Re: “Battle for the Rag” Once a great rivalry
It's funny this drummed up thing with Arkansas they made up. Neither fan base gives a crap. My brother lived in NW Arkansas for a period of time and all of his Arkansas friends miss the old SWC teams. I bet the same is true for Texas A&M, Missouri and Nebraska. Arkansas-Texas, Arkansas -Oklahom...

Re: Tulane beats Fordham 63-55
This will be how we gauge the basketball games from here on out. Y'all went to Tulane and are smarter than me , so let's come up with a level of ass. From large ass to medium ass to no ass ( perfect game) Galvez: If you reside in Galvez, Mark me down as someone who knows very well where that is; he...

Re: “Battle for the Rag” Once a great rivalry
If Tulane is in the top 20 and the media is dropping hints that lsu couldn't beat them, and we're all here running our mouths, the money excuse would lose its traction. Lsu fans would start running their mouth and we'd end up having to play. That's kinda what happened in the wake of the 98 season. r...

Re: “Battle for the Rag” Once a great rivalry
I miss the rivalry greatly. It's popular around here to blame lsu for its demise. But it's Tulane's fault it became non competitive. It would have never became stale if Tulane kept playing football instead of being allowed to slide to near oblivion. I'm hopeful that the new administration and leader...

Re: Wave over Miami(OH.) 80-59 go to 5-0
Great to see Hoops back from the dead. The game was played the day before a holiday which could cut down on crowd size but was hoping some of the locals will start taking notice. The box score advised 1500 in attendance, up from 1300 against SELA, and 1000 against LIU, so gradual improvement. Looki...

Re: Wonder What They're Saying Now
Well, at least y'all have some great memories and great experiences with Tulane football (even though it's been a couple + decades..) unlike Ruski and I who so far have experienced pain and misery with a terrible bowl experience against UL LA LA.... In Fritz I trust to give us some new and joyful e...

Re: Wonder What They're Saying Now
8-3, probably not, especially with how bad the losses to OU and Memphis were. We need to get to the point that when we do lose any game, its not a blowout. Hell just to have the w from Cincy and a crack at win 7 this week and #8 for a bowl. one lousey chip shot field goal .. True. He makes that kic...

It won't be his last either. He's been phenomenal so far. Been pretty much doing whatever he wants. Like a 3 point shooting Anthony reed.

Re: Wonder What They're Saying Now
Tps, that video is incredible. My father was at that game. One of the greatest nights of his life he always said. The priest for his funeral this past February talked about that game in his homily . The priest was there as a tiger fan. He said he still hasn't gotten over it. What a time to be alive....
