Re: Colorado State Game Thread

Does anyone understand the format of this "tournament"? We only play two games this week in Jamaica. But already played Brooklyn and will play Miami (oh) and FSU, not in Jamaica later in the season. Leaving Hartford the only team we don't play. Will there be some sort of a championship? I...

Re: Tulane beats SLU 89-66

We play Colorado St. on Friday at 1 on CBSSN. Interesting choice. Tulane WBB plays Vandy at home on Friday midday as well. This looks like game Tulane can win. Baseball plays intersquad game at 940am that morning for you hardcore types. Combined with Houston football the next day, it will be a busy...

Re: Tulane beats SLU 89-66

:shakingno: No coverage at all for this game on WWL tonight, a real insult to both Tulane & SLU. Nothing yet in NOLA either. It didn't even go to trouble of repackaging Tulane PR after the game which it could do for minimal cost. Both of these universities are in the primary N.O. media market a...

I think Vegas is thinking "Broken Legs and Arms"...something they know a great deal of !! Sorry but I don't get it. Why do you and others around here mock your own team? What's the point of being a fan? You don't have to be delusional or even wear green eye shades but that's a long way fr...

If yesterday's game was representative of its season, UN's problems are really about its defense. Lee may not be all Galaxy or even all Omaha but he had nothing to do with UM offense looking like the Saints and DB playing the Huskers.

TP coverage Sunday print TPS, Thanks for posting this literally in black and white. WOW! The real power of the media is not "Fake News" or what they decide to print, it's what they choose not to. If nothing else, the exhibition win over LSU in MBB means something. If both teams have relat...

REality check. Waves squeaks it out 102-96 NBA Defense. Lucky we didn’t play UNO tonight. No since we play NBA defense lucky we didn't play an NBA team. BTW St. John's beat UNO tonight "comfortably." What makes you think the result would have been any different playing Tulane tonight? Bec...

Re: LIU Brooklyn Game Thread

SWAG is a winning season but I'm not running to Vegas. Team should win 10+ regardless. Team could easily be Top 10 in team scoring at 80 ppg and Bottom 3rd in scoring defense at 75 ppg. It has depth to maintain high pace throughout. No Conroy ball this season. The two S. Sudanese frosh obviously nee...

He honestly probably would not make the top ~15-20 QB prospects for the 2018 NFL draft. I'll take that bet. How much? Loser donates to Green Wave Club. I don't bet on such things, or, otherwise, I would. The list of QB prospects include the QBs from Louisville, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Oklahoma Stat...

Re: Tanner Lee

He has a better arm than King. I'd say he is on the Ramsey and Losman level as far as arm strength goes. Of course both of those guys were 1st round picks because of their arm strength and not their decision making and/or accuracy. So I'm not sure what the point of the statement was. His arm streng...

Re: Wave sweeps Loyola in Basketball Exhibition games

One other quick point: coaching matters. MD is not blowing smoke when he says his staff and he will coach up these players especially those interested in the next level. Interestingly current team is mostly a combo of Louisiana-connected and foreign players. Meanwhile there are alot of good upcoming...

Re: Loyola Basketball Exhibition Tonight

Here are a few random observations about tonight's game. There is an enormous difference in conditioning compared to last year at this time.. Everyone seems to be in much better condition. Everyone, that is, except Dunleavy. He's been eating too much etouffee. The last four minutes of the game was ...

Re: 2017 Volleyball

Reading this thread made me think of my late dad. Well before the internet was around he relied on phone calls from coaches to give him scores from teams around the state to make the press for the next day’s paper. One coach whom will remain nameless never called in with his score after a loss. NEV...

Re: Tulane beats LSU 84-74

Cornish to me was most impressive Tulane player tonight. He played a very solid game and really complimented Reynolds well. I know we have had comments that at Bro Martin and UNLV, he was bulky and slow. Perhaps in the past but after sitting out a year, he is now neither overweight nor slow. He move...

Shame on Tulane for putting such a putrid product on the field for close to 70 years now. Then for trying to gouge what few fans it has left that are willing to still go to the games. WinWave, as a member of the Fan Advisory Committee you really need to tell them we need to completely rethink the G...

Re: USF Game Day Thread

The price and the mandatory donation Tulane charges do not equal the value of the product. I'm sick of it, and if I'm sick of it do you think the casual fan is going to put up with it? I saved $600 not buying season tickets this year and buying single game tickets. Do you think I'm going to get sea...

Lurker thanks but this is where you are too much of an apologist. It's Halloween and that's a celebration in this town. Like I said I hope they end up packing the place but I doubt it. It would be great if they moved it up a night to the 30th. Yep. Try telling a little girl she can’t trick or treat...
