Dannen has no intention of remaining at Tulane for most of the terms of these extensions so why sweat over doing coaching searches.

Wasn’t as much Cowen as it was the scholarship and transfer rules being changed by the NCAA. They had too many of the G5 private schools competing for National Championships so they changed the rules to screw them.

Jewett throwing Ahltoff u dear the bus smacks of a coach lacking confidence in himself. IMHO that is why he pitches his best arms too many pitches early in the season putting too much emphasis on winning every game in the short term at the expense of the long term success of the season.

Really glad Jewitt let Ohltoff get all those early pitches in this year. Nice and fresh as really important part of schedule appears. Desperate coaches do desperate things. Pitching other guys early does two things, develops pitching depth and saves your best pitchers arms esp those with first round...

Depends on school. Some of those recruits (Not the first two commits) are from less than stellar academic schools. Hope they can get in and stay eligible.

Or the fact that throughout his career he has encouraged his players to take out opposing players.
