Re: Bomber Jacket

There is a very similar item resembling a football letter jacket in the campus bookstore. It is sky blue with white leather sleeves. I believe it is $220. Very, very nice. Wish they also had it in green with white sleeves.

Re: NW State cancels Football Season

Northwestern LA at Natchitoches cancels balance of football season… coach and former Demons star QB Brad Laird resigns after junior safety Ronnie Caldwell died of gunshot wounds. Laird had coached the team since 2018 was too distraught to finish the year.

Wow. Just wow.

Re: Will Hall

How the mighty have fallen.

Sports Illustrated writer Pat Forde has selected Will Hall as “Not Coach of the Year” for the Sun Belt. Why? “They’re (USM) 131st out of 133 teams nationally in yards allowed per play (7.12).”

Excellent podcast by Maddy Hudak! Note to NOLABigSteve : Tulane fans that are not particularly web-savvy may be unaware of the great material that is available in podcasts by Hudak, Gloor, and others. It would be helpful if there was a separate, dedicated forum named TULANE PODCASTS where we could b...

Re: G5 New Years Six Watch

As was pointed out previously, Air Force hasn't a single P5 on its schedule. Doesn't matter if they keep winning. An undefeated Air Force is going to get a bid ahead of a 1 loss anybody in the G5. I'm hoping that changes today. Wyoming is pretty damned good. AF is an 11.5 pt favorite over Wyoming

In all probability, the best candidate for this job is not currently looking for a job. He/she is too busy soliciting donations, meeting with alumni, dealing with NIL issues, and positioning her/his institution in the best possible light for the continuing carousel of league changes. As proud as I a...

You set yourselves up for disappointment if you expect unconditional loyalty from these folks. Fitts, Fritz, Dannen, Hunter et al are hired hands with varying degrees of professional expertise. No more. No less. They should be viewed no differently than a physician or a plumber…that is, when we hire...

Unfortunately it’s the day after Thanksgiving and most of the students will be away. Going to be lightly attended IMO. It's because New Orleans hates Tulane. New Orleans doesn't hate Tulane. New Orleans hates losers. Within the past 18 months, I've seen a huge difference in the attitude of my frien...

Re: UAB GameDay Thread

Has anyone heard why the FM game broadcast has been moved from 104.1 to 99.5? Unfortunately the new station has a time delay of 10 to 15 seconds resulting in the plays being completed well before the broadcast. I guess I’m showing my age with the fact that I enjoy listening to the game broadcast by ...

Kai Horton has a field day as receivers run SMU crazy, too much speed.
Running game finally shines as the greenies get over 500 yards in total offense.
Gene, I'll give you 1000 to 1 odds that Tulane doesn't get over 50 yards of offense against SMU this Saturday.

Afternoon Summer Games at Yulman

I was at Yulman when we christened the stadium against Georgia Tech. The temperatures were brutal. Even though yesterday was a couple degrees cooler, I'm not sure conditions weren't more insufferable. I sit in Westfeldt and during afternoon games, I hardly ever go to my seat. Instead, I arrive early...

Horton first half A- Horton second half C- Plenty of open receivers that were missed and a horrible interception underthrown by 15 yards when the receiver had beaten everyone for a sure TD. Horton was not ready for this game but that is not his fault.; He did not have the confidence to close the de...

If he doesn't play this is on Willie and Nagle. He had no business being in at that point. 70% coaching and 30% Pratt. Michael seems to have John-Wayne-invincible-conquering-hero syndrome. Sometimes you help the team most by taking yourself out of the game. Coaching should not have given him a choi...
