I had high hopes for Scott. He had a lot of nice offers and we stole him late from USF. Also amazing name.

Well, back to back losing regular seasons. We haven't pulled this off since 1963-1964.

Re: The Never Ending Gift of Cowen

6. Given that prospective students with higher test scores care less about athletics, what type of gains do high academic institutions experience? The two are not mutually exclusive. No way, no how. There are PLENTY of smart students (high test scores, scholarships, etc.) that also like athletics, ...

Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

Too bad he did not stick and get his degree too, though. Why? So he can risk getting injured and not make that 1st round money? Get drafted in the 1st round and the salary and signing bonus after taxes will put him easily 20+ years ahead than an average Joe with an average salary coming out of coll...

Re: The Never Ending Gift of Cowen

I wonder if Cowen now believes it was a mistake to overrule Sandy Barbour and say no to RR in 1998? But, then of course, Chris Scelfo, Georgia's OL coach, did agree to $350K a year and "promise to stay"" ? I wonder if Cowen now believes it was a mistake to pull the rug out on Scelfo in the sp...

Re: The Never Ending Gift of Cowen

Glad he finally admitted he wanted to go DIII and regrets his decision not to go DIII to this day. Everyone around at that time knew it. Hard to believe he still doesn’t understand what a successful athletic program does for the University as a whole. Ask Alabama and others. Not sure if I'm reading...

It's always good to shake things up and keep those in charge on their toes. I've posted a poll on Twitter, so no matter what your opinion is, I welcome your votes either way. Re: #12 ECU Sweeps Tulane

I may get laughed at here, but hear me out. Tulane Baseball interest is at an all time low. I have not watched or listened to one game this season. Much bigger fans than I are not attending games. Go hire Andy Cannizaro. He probably will come alot cheaper than he would have. He had a marital indisc...

Hey, Steve, I don't know if other's have this same experience, but when I'm writing a reply in a thread, the washout makes it difficult to read, particularly difficult to see punctuation. I don't know if the fixes you applied have affected the reply area. THANKS! I've also looked at this, and the g...

Re: Forum/Server Upgrade & Theme Update

Ok, I've reduced the thickness of the green border on the left, and the padding on the left and right of the quoted responses. For heavily nested threads, this will help claim some screen real estate. I've looked at it on an iPhone X, MacBook Air 11", and desktop PC, but not yet my iPad. The date DO...

Re: #12 ECU Sweeps Tulane

A pitching coach is only a fraction of what this team needs. Our field play is atrocious at times. Has anyone compared stats to previous years? I can't ever remember seeing this many errors in a season.

Re: Saints are true partners of TU football?

I’ll add Saints owner Gayle Benson is on the Tulane Board. Drafting or signing FA Tulane guys is not related to being a partner. Ryan Griffin had a nice FA gig with the Saints for awhile. Kinda my point. It seems that through the years the Saints office and coaches have had the local press to get t...

Re: Saints are true partners of TU football?

Since Tulane and the Saints have the only official sharing relationship of facilities and such between a pro and college team in any city; why is there then not more interest from the Saints office in Tulane players come draft time? Legends were on the team once back in the day but now nothing. How...

Re: Forum/Server Upgrade & Theme Update

Hi, Steve, I like that a lot of the color related fixes make various parts of the site easier to read. Can we do something about the pull-down "quick links" menu at the top left corner of the page? That's still a bit washed out by the white background. Thanks! Clear your browser cache, and the upda...
