Re: 2024 US News & World Rankings (tie) #73 Tulane University

Actually, had we done more on DEI would’ve been higher in the rankings. Did you actually look at how the methodology of the rankings changed? The reason for DEI at places like Harvard, is to compensate for all of the legacy admissions they give out. There aren’t a lot of minorities getting legacy a...

That didn't age well.
It was a joke, because some of you piss on the teams at the slightest adversity. Win 3 and we back, but lose 1 and fire everybody.
Unfortunately, that is an accurate description here.

DEI is on the wane in the real world. Universities and media usually feel they are intellectually and morally above the real world. We will see if DEI eventually declines with them as well.

It's time to stop the comparing to the Jackson St coach. None of us even know if she was interested in the job. She may have declined to be considered. We got a quality coach who really wanted the job and knows what she's dealing with on day 1. No learning curve.

Lmfao dude. Take a chill pill. The response on X has been widely laudatory from those with no connection to the program. Jesus.
This is the exact opposite of Dannen, who would never hire anyone with any previous ties to Tulane.

Keep living on your 7 game win streak. I have plenty to sa y after watching Tulane athletics for 55 years. I know plenty and this is a sandlot team with a softball coach. OK, expert. Maybe you should be the coach. I'm not going to argue about something so stupid. You call a 15-13 team "sandlot...

Re: UTSA Sweeps Tulane

Funny how all these coaching experts have re-emerged from the closet during this recent losing streak. They were in hiding during the 7-game win streak, but Uhlman seems to have become a much worse coach in the last 10 days. This season has a long way to go. As for UTSA, they appear to be an elite h...

Re: The Students are revoltin'

When you read the story, there should be violins playing in the background. Athletics is trying to reclaim land that was previously confiscated from them. Fewer than 800 signatures out of 9000 undergrads and 5000 grad students isn't overly impressive. Dannen and Fritz both gone. So does Harris and ...

Welch pitched on six days rest. A 20/20 hindsight mistake. I feel like we should bench the entire outfield for a game. But I know that won’t or even should happen. But maybe give one of them a day off? I am really tired of seeing Banks come up in critical situations and knowing it will be a useless...

Glad I do not waste my time going to watch a sandlot team. Have not been to a game in over two years and do not miss it. It is torcher enough following game tracker. Since you haven't been watching, I guess that's why you don't realize that they won 15 of 26 so far and 7 in a row. Not bad for a &qu...

I understand David Harris's position on Hunter. He has already had to hire a football coach under a stressful timeline. Now he has to decide what direction he wants to go with women's basketball because there is no coach. Hunter still has 2 years (I believe) on his existing contract. Why not see a f...

Today, they announced a bizarre change to kickoffs that have both sides within 5 yards of each other. It presumably keeps players from hitting at full speed. There is no explanation of how onside kicks would work. Maybe they are making that illegal too. https://twitter.com/jjones9/status/17704934199...

Re: USM Beats Tulane 9-4

The Southern Miss batters were certainly hot last night against our bullpen, no doubt. We need more early offense to take the pressure off of the pitching staff. Most games, we don't put runs on the board until/after the 5th inning. There is definitely a pattern that has developed about falling beh...
