Mayor Landrieu and Governor Edwards.
Why are you remaining silent while the mayors and governors of Connecticut, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, and Texas beat the drums for their teams to join the BIG XII.
C'mon guys, support The Tulane University OF LOUISIANA.

Re: Big 12 soliciting
If they only add 2 schools, I think we're out. It would be much easier to explain a Tulane invite if it were with three other schools. If we get an invite I hope they don't put us in a division with all four of the Texas schools plus OU and OSU. That would be one very, very tough division! As someo...

Re: Big 12 soliciting
We have a potential huge asset in our quest to join the BIG XII. Coach David Pierce, now at The University of Texas, has Texas' ear and hopefully he really did buy in to our GENUINE COMMITMENT to excel at ATHLETICS and will therefore talk of how we strive for athletic excellence emphasizing the radi...

Re: Big 12 soliciting
Troy Dannen is going to be accused of having an unfair advantage because of his history with and his friendship with Bob Bowsley.
What do he and Tulane have to do to assure that other candidate schools and current BIG XII schools that may be against us do not over react to our efforts ?

And the lime green has returned, damn it. The kids love bold colors. Look at the folks running on st charles, their running shoes r crazy. At least there is a practical reason for running with bright colors. I just have a problem with the retro look of the angry wave being shoe-horned into the very...

Re: Big 12 soliciting
Obviously Tulane needs to approach the City of New Orleans and any offshoots (tourist commission, restaurant and hotel associations, business development groups, Sugar Bowl people, etc) to throw everything and the kitchen sink into any proposal we make. The economic benefit of the additional Big XX...

Re: CI 2016 picks Tulane FB #111 (4-8 record)
SMU has a horrific excuse for a defense. As for UMASS it doesn't matter where you play them they aren't good. No sense wasting a home game on that. That's exactly what the UMass faithful are saying about Tulane! Heck, they don't even want to bother driving from Amherst to Foxboro. Good. Even less o...

Re: Tulane May 2, 2016 Report of the Senate Committee on Budget Review (SCBR)
The $80 million you are talking about was only there to build the Stadium. It wasn't to build the Yulman IPF or the Yulman Weight Room. That money wouldn't exist if Tulane was still playing in the Dome. The Yulmans Glazers and Bensons gave generously for the sole purpose of building the Stadium. It...

Re: Tulane May 2, 2016 Report of the Senate Committee on Budget Review (SCBR)
Yulman, while obviously having revenue limitations, is not the cause of this deficit. The football revenue number is far higher than had we played in the dome. Two things. 1) Yulman is not the cause of the deficit, but it was absolutely billed as the solution to the deficit. The improved gameday at...

Re: Tulane May 2, 2016 Report of the Senate Committee on Budget Review (SCBR)
Don't know year 1 but last season I believe it was $2-3 million revenue. Expenses $14 million including tuition waivers. Need to sellout Yulman to make it work. Otherwise we lose money. Let me be more clear about the question: Football ticket sales - Yulman operating costs = ? I think last year it ...

Sad commentary that only 15 have voted.
Notwithstanding the recent flurry of new board members these last few days there are only 476 members, few of whom are active.
This board needs to grow by at least 10,000 members. What strategies are being considered to make the board more relevant ?

How many times have we seen people change their minds? Didn't Bobby Cremins leave Georgia Tech to take a HC job elsewhere, only to change his mind a couple of days later? What about last season in NBA free agency, with DeMarcus Cousins? Until the person puts name to paper, nothing's final. And even...

GP it's factual. Once Andy was ruled out he deserved a phone call. That's all. Signing is a formality. Pierce didn't sign his contract for weeks after he agreed. But Andy wasn't ruled out if he was the second choice pending the contract. Signing is not necessarily a formality. If the contract doesn...

Re: Congrats and Thanks TD
"...do not expect a post season miracle in FB...." Hell two wins this regular season with no QB will BE a miracle. Way too early on BSKTBL as roster still incomplete and apparently Dunleavy has been unable to complete his coaching staff, yet alone the players' roster.
