Re: 2019 AAC Baseball Tourney Thread
I think we put too many resources into baseball, but that's me. That being said, there's no way we spend millions of dollars to move to a baseball stadium that's 10 miles from campus, despite the other benefits we get. Turchin is still relatively new; we're not ripping it down. Honestly I would arg...

Re: 2019 AAC Baseball Tourney Thread
Am I reading this correctly. ....Tear down a top 25 facility? And people wonder why we are where we are in all sports. You don't think if we replace Turchin with Zephyr Field we'd still have a top 25 facility? Think about it for a minute. You're talking a AAA quality minor league facility that seat...

Re: Why is Josh Bates not playing?
Pitchers are bad, can’t throw strikes. Jewett fires pitching coach. Brings in new pitching coach Latham who had had 6-7 top 25 era staffs in a row at sela, and pitchers are still bad and can’t throw strikes. Maybe it’s just because these pitchers are just bad and not aac quality. That is on Jewett a...

Re: AAC voted NO in adding an additional paid baseball coach
So the AD's voted one way and the University Presidents voted against their wishes? The way i understand it is that the 8 ADs of AAC all voted yes. Then the AAC representative that was required to submit the vote, went rogue and submitted that the conference voted no on the official ballot. It was ...

you could probably get some internship writers from the university that are looking to get something on the resume. Just a thought. Pass out flyers or put up at the english dept etc.

AAC voted NO in adding an additional paid baseball coach
AAC voted no in adding a 3rd paid baseball coach, but all the university's ADs voted "yes" for it. Looks like the AAC went rogue at the official ballot box and voted against the ADs choice not representing them. Pretty crazy, and unprecedented i would think. Will be interesting to see what...

2014 class jewett added Kaleb Roper so it got bumped up from his addition. 2015 Pierces class was not top 100. Jumped up this past year with the addition of Jewetts players, Acy Owen, Trent Johnson, Sean Chandler (drafted), and Will Mcaffer. 2016 Pierce class was ranked in 90s. Jumped 30 spots this ...

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search
Sure would like us to hire Kendall Briles as our head coach. I think his offensive scheme would be great for Tulane. the "holier than thou" Tulane board will never allow anyone with the Briles name to be employed at Tulane...Kendall may have to get a special permit to be allowed on campus...

i really hope fitts is raising lots of money to add to the endowment. we need a billion dollar injection to the total asap. We are currently 1.2 $B and ranked 75th, Vandy is 4.1 $B and ranked 24th, and Rice is 5.8 $B and ranked 20th. Rice has 7000 students, Vandy has 12,500 students, we have 13,500 ...

Re: Wake Forest Game Day Thread
Can’t believe it was as close as it was. Defense had great timely turnovers to kind of mitigate some of there weaknesses. Man we were so close!! I felt like d played well despite yards allowed, that was high due to our offense having the ball for only 30 seconds and then punting it right back to the...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series
Was great interview. His thoughts on wpc and us playing in it are wrong though. It is an LSU event and they invited us to play there......no thank you. Has nothing to do with a neutral game. It’s not. It is an LSU controlled event, it’s there event, nothing neutral about it, it’s an LSU foundation. ...

Re: Seat Licenses
Another example of how out of touch admin is to its own fanbase. Seat license will definitely happen in future and it should if we want to take that next step and be in running of P5. But Tulane is about 10 years of straight bowls, 10 NCAA tourneys and 10 regionals all in next 10 years to have the s...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series
The way to solve this is to propose playing them in a weekend series home and home after Alleva is fired. I’d even do a 2 for 1. Or you could play one in BR, 1 at Turchin and 1 at the Shrine. It would be a huge money maker and a big win for the fans. That could be only possible if we started winnin...

Other board is saying our tv contract for our own home game was not the same structure as what LSU got from same cable company for there own home game. We wanted fair deal. LSU fans please forgive us for wanting to do what we want on our own home games. I don’t know what’s true, but if that is and t...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series
It’s our our home game so we get the TV money. Tulane wanted more money from Cox for this particular game in fact as much as LSU gets for its televised games. Cox said no to that so Tulane declined to televise it. Alleva was mad because the game has always been on TV. He begged Tulane to televise i...

I’m as hard on Dannen as anyone on here, and I’ve been on the case for more support for baseball since day 1. Support from a admin perspective, ie more scholarship money and aid. I’ve been saying to everyone about that since the beginning, that being said, I don’t believe this is his fault, this is ...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series
Does anyone know why we cancelled the tv last year? Was it because LSU was wanting a sweeter deal or majority of the tv revenue for our own home game, or was it because we thought we could make more money by using all access and being greedy?
