Re: Wake Forest Game Thread

Willie ain't on no damn hot seat...he and his staff took over a complete train wreck of a program Great response to one of the more wacky posts I've seen in a while on this forum. I disagreed about the hot seat but on the other hand, god forbid anyone expecting Tulane to be able to easily handle wa...

Re: Wake Forest Score Prediction Thread

“Hot seat “ may be a little harsh this early, but yeah, it would call some things into question, like can he get it done here? The media has clouded our perceptions. Wake Forest could not win our league. It should not be some program defining victory. We SHOULD be putting a team on the field that ca...

Re: Wake Forest Score Prediction Thread

The way I look at it, we have a known program builder in his 3rd year with a senior QB on our home field against a Wake Freaking Forest team starting a freshman QB.

We need to win in this spot right here at this time.

Re: Wake Forest Score Prediction Thread

I’m sorry , this team just doesn’t scare me. Their fans and media are confident. It looks like an ambush to me. Like one of the millions we’ve been on the other side of.
Tulane 34
Wake 10

And not as close as the score.
Probably way off here , that’s the feeling I get. Glad I don’t gamble.

Re: USM QB Transfer Howard...

Keon didn't light it up, nor did he mess it up at USM. His highlight films show some big plays, and a lot of wide open receivers. I'm happy he's at Tulane, where, with two years eligibility starting next year, he's going to be a QB with 10 starts at the FBS level under his belt, and at that point 3...

Re: QB Transfer Howard...now McMillian ?

What a turn around it would be to go into next spring with McMillan and Howard competing for starter. Timing may work for Tulane here. There’s not many options for him a week before the season opens to play this season. Being a true student athlete helps too . Fingers crossed.

Re: How Many Regular Season Games Will Tulane Win?

7-6 and a bowl victory. For no other reason than simply we must. I believe willie will coach with urgency and the team will reflect. Wins: Wake (I’m not buying in to them, they won’t be prepared NSU, cinci, smu, ecu, Tulsa That’s 6 teams I believe we’ll be better than straight up. That leaves Housto...

Re: QB Transfer

Similar path Banks took to get here. Similar high school rating. Similar knocks as Banks had coming in. Hopefully he experiences the same landing spot as JB. Honestly, until WF can COMPLETELY squash the “triple option” perception, this is the best strategy for QB recruiting. Let the big boys do the ...

Does anyone in the athletic department have a degree in marketing or finance? WTF are they thinking? I was considerimg getting season tickets again for the first time in 3 years. Re: Seat Licenses

Tulane is in a tough spot here. Nobody wants to pay more and Tulane would rather not have to do it. The problem it’s faced with is that there’s a need to somehow replace the Yulman stadium pledges that are soon to be rolling off. To compete with the other AAC schools and to become attractive to a P...

Re: Seat Licenses

With next to zero demand for tickets, seat licenses would be the end of many season ticket holder purchases. We need to win and win big and regularly to create demand. If and when we have demand, seat licenses MIGHT not drive off our fans. Right now it would kill the fan base that, quite frankly, s...

We are Tulane. We can never assume a W and no one does.
Ha of course. My expectations are a little elevated . Which is extremely foolish on my part. I’ll be extremely disappointed if we don’t leave Ohio 2-2 at worst.

Re: Interesting Athlon Rankings

Clark had a tommy Bowden like rise in the ranks. If he wins 10+ he’ll be moving on . That’s a dangerous game on the road. IMO, escaping that game with a W and going to The horse shoe 3-0 would be massive. Massive. It would at least be a story heading into the game. Fritz will have to have them focus...

When I saw the figure I thought someone actually counted the seats in yulman. Dog days following up a garbage baseball season with a program going nowhere. Our fan base is beaten down and disinterested. It’s pretty much on Willie fritz to save us. I don’t envy him for that task. It’s always slow thi...

This is college baseball. Hiring AC today wouldn’t generate a ripple outside of a couple idiots in Baton Rouge, who would all take AC today. Barely anyone outside the tri-state area knows who Andy Cannizaro is . On a side note, nick saben is a legendary womanizer. Nobody cares. He’s not a criminal a...

Re: Tulane Beats TSU 8-2

8-4 in last 12. 14 to go. Considering where this team was it’s nice to have a little hope. Can they make a serious run and finish like 11-3?that would leave a record of 31-25 and going into the tournament with some confidence.

I'm glad we're getting Connor, and do think he's under-rated. Was leading scorer on one of the best Prep teams in the nation, one that only played other Prep Post Grad teams. There's higher ranked recruits coming out of Hargrave, but nobody filled the basket more than Crabtree. Now, if we can land ...

Under the new rules it appears we are at the max and can't bring anyone else this season. Yikes. Fritz seems like he's building a solid program bottom up and this should be a corner turning year. However we're one knee/ankle/shoulder injury away from same old same old Tulane. Finally we get a disci...
