Re: Massey Composite Rankings Tulane and the AAC
Part of the problem is, more and more P5s are filling their OOC schedules with other P5s and low end G4/FCS. They're squeezing the AAC out. Same thing with the bowls. Several bowls that we used to have tie ins with that would have matched us against P5 schools dropped us and are now matching up two...

Re: Tulane destroys the Hurricane- 62-28
Winwave, to say that a team is not good and then say that they are not a bad team is hogwash. The meaning is synonymous if you ask me. And then you tell one of our long time posters and former players to work on his reading comprehension?! He took it how you wrote it. Maybe you should work on expre...

Re: The Massey Index
The AAC has four Top 30 teams in the composite. The AAC also has three Top 25 teams in the AP and coaches polls.
The number of the week for Tulane is #62 --- as in the 62 points they dropped on Tulsa and their composite ranking of #62 in the country.

Re: COACH WF BUZZ
Always better to have a coach with buzz than without buzz. If Dannen is smart, and I think he is, then he is already quietly assessing possible successors looking for someone who runs a similar offense so you don't throw away two recruiting classes worth of talent. In the meantime, Dannen is assessi...

Re: Tulsa GameDay Thread
Tulane gets a big conference win and NOLA.com still doesn't have an article about it on their site. The game has been over nearly 2 and a half hours. Geesh.

Well, Tulane beat the O/U by itself. And Tulane, of course, beat the spread. Really outstanding performance.

Re: Tulsa GameDay Thread
Tulsa's awful defense most certainly contributed to Tulane's offensive success. But in years past a Tulane offense would not have racked up these yards and scores. Tulane did against an awful defense what you are supposed to do against an awful defense. That is a very good sign of things to come fro...

Peyton what the fuck are you waiting for? After another missed field goal, it is time to bring in some competition for Lutz. I still haven’t forgiven him for the blocked PATs returned for scores last year. Bring him to the city he loves!winwave wrote:Waived injured by the Chiefs. They'll be sorry.

That could prove to be true! LSU loses to Troy, and the Saints get their first shutout since 2012 on the same weekend. What a great weekend!Wave755 wrote:And, the number 1 college football team in Louisiana is - The Tulane Green Wave!!!

Re: Grambling GameDay Thread-Wave wins 43-14
I don't, at this stage, give a f#ck about attendance and neither should you. Tulane admin has to figure that out. But 80% of figuring it out is winning football games. Win enough and you could double Yulman capacity while playing in the American and pack them in without none of the whining you hear ...

Re: Grambling GameDay Thread
Nice win, but I was very unimpressed with Grambling as an opponent (as I expected to be), and I don't think we learned anything at all tonight, beyond that Banks has some nice potential. Really, this wasn't even a good FCS D Line, let alone a D Line of the caliber we will see next week and througho...

Re: New facilities announcement
I believe it was 70 yards and one end zone for a total of 80 yards. That was before they lost 30 yards of that when they had to take the west end of it for space to bring the TV crews trucks and such back there. I do believe the width was there but just barely as the north sideline abutted the fenc...

About the practice field as it exists today is it a total of 80 yards or are there end zones? I will show you how much space you would have if you built the new facility diagonally. Also, does it have the proper width for a football field?

Re: New facilities announcement
when this multi level complex is built, will the football field, because it is located above ground level, be expanded to a full 100 yards ? A-squared + B+squared= C-Squared Pythagorean theorem. Build the building diagonally, and you will get a real practice field. You can incorporate Wilson into t...

Winning bowl games no longer mean what they once did, particularly at this level. The better you are in the regular season and the greater likelihood you are playing without your coach come bowl game date. Coaches matter. Now we are entering an era where the players are catching on to how meaningles...

Re: RIP Dr Kelly
The Tulane School of Law pass rate for the Louisiana July 1995 bar examamination was an abysmal 54%. By far the lowest bar pass rate in Tulane history and a national embarrassment and disgrace for the law school at the time. Most faculty blamed Kelly and his handpicked dean John Kramer for this res...

Why are we talking about endowment numbers from 2009? I saw this headline, assumed it was recrent, and damned near had a heart attack! How could that even be possible with today's market? Oh wait, they are talking about the time of the financial crash? Oh well. Old news, and not at all shocking give...
