Re: Prices's staying

CJ's allowing the Prices to stay says it all.

Actually they were hand picked by a failed AD.

we've run the saint's offense for 3 years to terrible results and your response is to double down on it?

RD already doubled down on the current staff.

Re: Jesuit Tight End to LSU A&M

No blue chip recruit is coming to Tulane at this time. The sad reality is that since Cowen's review in 2003, Tulane has had one winning season and ZERO bowl victories. And this in an era when everyone goes to a bowl game. Even bottom feeder peer programs like Rice, USL and SMU have multiple bowl win...

Louisiana Tech defeats Illinois 35-18 in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Tulane currently has the 4th best program in the state.

Re: Jesuit Tight End to LSU A&M

Right, but at this point hope is not a strategy and we know that things aren't changing and that the small time program with small time facilities has been made permanent.

I'm not too optimistic, either. Unfortunately, the boutique stadium was more important than winning.

Re: Jesuit Tight End to LSU A&M

If we had a competitive program TPS, I have no doubt we would have landed him. He's a perfect fit for us (local, academic kid who can play). This is a reflection of where our program is at present. Hopefully, things will change.

Re: Jesuit Tight End to LSU A&M

Exactly.

Tulane hasn't been competitive in 15 years. Sadly, our program still lags USL and La Tech. No way we'll beat out LSU for a recruit, unless he is only offered as a preferred walk-on.

Tulane covers the spread (14) anyway.

I am pleasantly surprised with this team.

Re: Conference Football Schedule 2015-2018

TU just went 3-9 and averaged 16 ppg. That looks an awful lot like 2003-2011 to me. And you can be certain that SMU and Tulsa will be improved.

Again, I can see four wins from that group but 6 is very optimistic.

Re: Conference Football Schedule 2015-2018

Your six projected wins: Houston- TU is 1-10 against UH since 2003. New coach inherits decent program. UConn- OK. Tulsa- Greenies 1-9 against Tulsa since 2005. SMU- OK. Maybe. Army- last visit was a 45-6 loss. RD enjoyed the beautiful campus, though. FCS opponent- Win I see 3-5 wins here wit...

Re: Conference Football Schedule 2015-2018

2015 - 4-4 in AAC with wins over Houston (new coach, at home), UConn (at home), Tulsa (new coach, at home), and @SMU (new coach, terrible roster). 6-6 overall with wins at Army and vs our TBD FCS opponent.

I want whatever you're drinking.

There has to be quicker way to help the baseball program than raising a billion dollars.

Do you really need a 31 ACT score for need-based aid?

Given Tulane's track record the past 15 years, I'll eat my hat if Tulane gets a Big 12 invite. It's been a total clown show with Cowen/Dickson.

Re: Somebody Likes Us

I would take a Big 12 invite and not win a conference game in the first year. That is a no brainer.

I would too, but can you imagine this program facing Oklahoma and Baylor and TCU?

But since we have the least competitive AD/administration ever, the Big 12 thing won't happen.

My theory is that CJ is simply doing as he is told by his boss (RD) re: Price.

Meanwhile, our competition (SMU, Tulsa, UH) is aggressively making changes.
