Re: Baby Isla helps Wave whip Houston 20-17

Agree with Houma. Glad I flew in flew in for this game to watch it with the real fans. Awesome high fives and emotion winning this game. Let it sink in. This is only the second time in 14 years we’ve won 5 games. I’m not sure we should count the bowl year in 2013 since we played football powers Nort...

Re: Houston Score Prediction Thread

Tulane wins 31 to 28. Banks trusts his reads against UH and tests the edge in the running game. We finally connect on at least one of our deep play-action pass plays. The win results in only the second 5-win or > football season in 14 years for the Wave. Roll Wave!

Re: ECU GameDay Thread

Woo! Winning a conference game on the road with a goal line stand in OT. We overcame the bonehead personal foul by Briggs and the fumble and two INTs by our QB in the second half to win (attributable to Fritz of course). Let's take the positive juju to the Houston and SMU games. Roll damn Wave!

Also noticed that there were maybe 5000 fans at Cajun stadium for the ULL/Texas State game last night. Can't believe I had nothing better to do than watch 20 mins of that game last night.

Re: Grambling GameDay Thread-Wave wins 43-14

I tuned in in the late 1st Qtr after finally getting ESPN3 to work. One of the first crowd shots for us when we logged in was the TU student section. A couple of members from my family mentioned that attendance there was larger than usual and appeared to be enthusiastic and lively. The crowd photo-l...

Re: 2017 Football Schedule Released

Not to sidetrack the interesting conversation of what Tulane wins would be "huge" or not, but I looked over Grambling's season-ending roster and noticed that the team had 20 "Grad Student" players and 12 seniors and 54 Freshman through Junior players. So they are turning over alm...

I believe Operations / Weight Room / Sports Performance will go a long way in making us more competitive in output from our current athletes and also on the recruiting trail. The stadium is fine for the moment. After watching the Wake Forest game last year, I was impressed that a school with a small...

My buddy is a huge Cornhusker fan. He just sent me this article today advising most people in the Husker nation believe they'll win the Big 10 with Mr Lee at the helm. All eyes will be on Tanner with the hype that is building there. No pressure.... Link and story: http://journalstar.com/sports/huske...

Re: Wave beats USF 82-67 for first conference win

Congrats to the Wave in getting their first win in the AAC this year. I watched the second half on ESPN and they looked much better. Good pick and roll passing resulting in easy baskets, nice shooting form on 3ptrs, even free throws in the clutch were good. Please do this every game!

What I find strange is that Nawlins Pete, Jonathan, and JJ all disappeared at the same time when Nawlins Pete made his inappropriate comment about the Charity basketball game. Were they all posting from the same IP address and banned? Enquiring Minds want to know.

Re: Wave loses to UCF 85-72

RE question on Slater, I watched most of the game on ESPN3 and I believe the announcers mentioned he returned to NOLA sick from his Christmas Holidays. I'll be honest I was trying to multitask with other productive items so maybe I got that wrong. The game was closer than expected for the first 2/3s...

Pathetic game, pathetic effort, pathetic scheme, pathetic boxouts/rebounds, pathetic free throws, pathetic 3 point pct. You get the picture. Tulane actually had better talent on the court than McNeese. Man, this was hard to watch.

Re: Staff Changes?

Yeah we get it, JV coach, blah blah. Take into account the pathetic OLine and the fact there were 3 scholarship WRs on the roster in the spring. Take that with the fact that we didn't have enough depth in most spots to run a legitimate scout team. Look at CJ's last 2015 recruiting class where half o...

Hmmm, never really threatened? It was 14 to 10 at one point and there were many many worried UH fans around me. Why are are talking about the effectiveness of Ward and not the absence of Parry Nickerson over the last 2 games? Surely he would've clamped down on the Temple desperation heaves for compl...

Me and the family flew into NOLA for this game. Overall the performance was not CJ bad, but the special teams were extremely disappointing. We stayed for the whole game, which is more than I can say for the last two years of CJ games we attended. Several random observations/opinions: - Marbley was a...

Re: Memphis Score Prediction Thread

I'll be the first to predict the upset. Tulane 27, Memphis 17. Tulane's front 7 keep Memphis on the ropes like Temple did to Memphis in the first half last week. Tulane's O runs up >300 yards on the ground and 160 yards passing. Tulane will have its first signature win since Nov 2014 against UofH.

Re: Memphis Game Week Thread

Memphis scored two TDs on a pick 6 and a Kick-off return. The Memphis O looked anemic most of the night and as winwave mentioned benefited from some questionable calls. Temple suffered many WR drops and their previously consistent kicker took the night off. Temple gave this one away. If we can get a...
