Re: WWL Radio host critical of Tulane admin

CJ may be a good WR coach and a good recruiter. However, I feel extremely comfortable saying he's put out some of the worst coached Tulane teams I've seen since the mid 80's and that's a serious accomplishment. CJ is well liked in the media, if this season continues going South his friends will sta...

Re: CJ Era Is Over

I just don't see how the problem can be fixed offensively without CJ getting canned. Last year was the year for him to replace OC and survive - which is a losing proposition in the first place because I find it hard to believe that CCJ will be able to recruit a quality OC to replace Price. I do not ...

Re: 3 star commit...

Which is why you have to schedule, play and beat SEC/P5 schools. I agree. Went 0-3 against P5's last season was out scored 116-39 in those three P5 games. No argument from me regarding our pitiful offense last year. However, I am well convinced that we have the talent to close that gap- just need t...

Re: 3 star commit...

With Tulane now going hard after more 4 star type kids this is going to happen more than not. It's a risk you have to take recruiting the better athletes. It's too bad he was so heavily recruited. CJ is going to have to break through and keep some of these guys or go back to finding kids in the rou...

Goodness- can you apologists please please please stop acting as if the Oklahoma and Ole Miss series are related to Miss State. You guys don't even give us skeptic fans a chance to celebrate the P5 series because you keep relating the two- I have not seen a single thing to suggest they are related.....

Hit the nail on the head again, winwave. Lone exception to your comments is that you overlooked the fact that the AAC will invite UMass by 2022.

Re: Tulane guaranteed 1.2 Million for 2017 game against Oklahoma

It has nothing to do with canceling State for UMASS. Secondly we know the buyout but not the payout for the State game. Lastly a game in 2024 only gets a payment of $350,000. Thank you! Why is everyone so insistent on associating every series other than Umass with the Miss State game cancellation? ...

lol. There you go. I had the wrong UL. Just goes to show you perception is important. It was ULM. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=322520008 UL-M stuns Alabama 21-14 in 2007, see http://www.ulmwarhawks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=1321215 And , in 2012 UL-M defeated then 8th ranked Arkansa...

Re: Baton Rouge Regional Tourney Thread

Did not realize that last year was anything but a dumpster fire, nor that this year's coaching effort was anything less than heroic... TU gives out extensions like candy (see Toledo, CJ, Conroy, etc.), and given the quick turnaround this year it does not take a conspiracy for a local beat writer to ...

Re: Future OOC Games

Btw, I'm one of the few proponents of a TU-ULL rivalry. Think it's a natural replacement for TU-LSU until TU gets serious about athletics. I think the opposite. If we ever got serious about athletics then I'd be okay with scheduling them once in a while. But in this period where we are clowning aro...

Wait --so we can bring say an extra 10K at $25 per ticket and you say no dome??? Slow your roll big boy. You don't even get 20k to cajun field on a regular basis. Who cares? You know where people like to go to football games? In New Orleans. Last time we played ULL they brought ~30K. That's right. ...

Regardless of TU's misfortune in baseball of late, this is an absolutely absurd poll question. TU fans need to give Tammy hell for this.

Re: Fire Ed Conroy!

Thanks for the responses, which were about what I figured they would be. I did a little bit of research in the Conroy era. Pretty depressing statistically-- 2010-11 Tulane - 13-17 (3-13) - RPI: 249 - 2-bid conference - non-conference SOS: 346 (worst in conf.) 2011-12 Tulane - 15-16 (3-13) - RPI: 204...

Not surprised but more than a bit curious re: the basis for retaining Conroy. Can someone please give me the logic behind it?

What has he done to inspire any confidence in a turnaround next year?

Did the team really perpetuate the "hands up don't shoot" myth at the game today? Very disappointing if true.
