Re: Endowments Make The Grade
When looking at the success or lack there of, here’s a few figures from 2019 -2020: Jeremy Crigler, chief investment officer: $1,488,000 (this is not a typo) As of June 30, 2020 Tulane’s endowment 10 yr. annualized return was 8.10% and ranked 55th nationally. My guess is the CIO comp was ranked much...

Re: Endowments Make The Grade
The person who gets all of the credit (or blame) for Tulane’s endowment is our current CIO, Richard Chau. Richard has an MBA from Columbia and undergrad work including degrees in economics and Chinese. He was also an all-American performer in the discus and hammer throw. Blame or credit is not on Mr...

Re: Tulamed again by SMU 55-26
Fritz will handle depositing his paychecks with no remorse . Exactly! He shows no fire. The team is poorly coached at all levels. They rarely come ready to play. Nobody will be fired because Dannen is missing in action and Fitts is a clueless nerd/milktoast. We could not be in a worse position to r...

If Tulane does not receive a substantial donation when this occurs, the President and head fund raiser need to be canned.

Re: 2021 Volleyball
I’m in Orlando coaching at the AAU volleyball championships. I watched Tulane’s 2022 recruit Nia Washington and her NOLA team win the 17’s division championship. She was the mvp. She is a special player. Not sure a Louisiana team has ever won this. I believe Wattle Daub (WD Nation) Volleyball has w...

Re: Texas and OU to SEC ?
The location of all the remaining schools don’t appear to be in large media market nor where one would purposely visit. I understand that South Bend isn’t either. But ND has a huge national following. I don’t see major national interest and long term dollars for an AAC school to move. But short term...

Re: Texas and OU to SEC ?
So the SEC becomes in 2025 some kind of football 16 team super conference with these additions. What happens to the national interest in college football games / playoff? ESPN is trying to sell ads to viewers to payoff the payments to the conferences. Given the NFLs desire for equality among teams t...

Re: SEC vs NCAA
That’s all good for football but what about the remaining sports like basketball. If the SEC becomes the dominant (even more than now) football power, what happens to national interest in the regular season. Obviously the southeast with follow but what about the remaining geographies? I grew up in t...

Re: 2021 MLB Draft
Texas had three players drafted 32, 241, and 156. Tulane had three players drafted to date 167, 261, and 300. Other than the 32 pick (slot money $2.26 million) the others range from $304k to $144k). I would have expected more Texas players drafted with much higher slot money. And 3/9 Tulane draft el...

No way Tulane is getting or pursuing Jake. Jake most likely will seek AC as an assistant. No way AC is employed at Tulane under current management.

Hilarious how the press release addresses this pass season’s success. No mention of the Jerkaila Jordon leaving. Conference freshman on the year and Tulane high scorer (16.7 ppg). Sad.

Re: Michael A Fitts
Who ultimately calls the shots? Fitts. It’s curious why this board provides such support for him. He allows his AD to vacation in Iowa for the summer. I didn’t realize the AD was a 10 month appointment. It starts at the top. Is there anyone at Tulane in a position of authority that has a connection...

So it’s not TJ’s fault we lose. It’s the TU Admin. If TU would’ve allowed Campbell in we’d be in a regional. Then can we stop blaming TJ.

Re: Justin Campbell denied Admission
Just like the title says “denied” admission at Tulane. Accepted at a P5 D1 Tulane’d again. End of story. So your definition of Tulane’d is, denied admission at Tulane but accepted at a P5 D1. Accepted at P5 D1 is not a high standard. LSU would meet your criteria. Search LSU title ix violations if y...

BTW, for those that like to know how it ended St. Paul's lost out last weekend. They showed they were an 8 seed. Yes SPS was originally an 8th seed but Catholic could end being the state champs. Had SPS played St Aug and then HC instead they’d be in the semi finals. Catholic faces #1 Byrd so we’ll ...

Re: AC has Holy Cross in 1st place in the Catholic League
Poorly written article. It doesn't spit it tout but it involves forfeits due to playing an ineligible player. So now you would have to think he wouldn't get to play in the playoffs. They were only an 8 seed before so they aren't a powerhouse team and should be minus a player. HC is select I. There ...

Does anyone know why Ms. Farris is not on the TU women's BB staff? She took an assistant job with Stetson in May 2020 after 10 yrs as the John Curtis women's BB HC. She only won 5 state titles in 10 years. Was outstanding at TU and played in the WMBA. Just curious. Am I missing something?

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Discussion
For all the “free choice” folks. When will the conservative trumpsters legalize marijuana nationally? For that matter legalize crack cocaine. It’s all about choice, right. “My body, my choice” to quote rep-elect Marjorie Greene (Georgia) referring to face covering mandates. Did I miss Senator Cruz’s...
