Re: Houston GameDay Thread
On tv it looks like a Houston home crowd... Yep, close call as to whether they out number us today or is it instead a "wash"? Section 121, about the 50 yard line west side, appears near 90% Houston. Westfeldt Terrace is only about 15% full, & Glazer about 20% full. The Superdome was n...

Re: Houston Score Prediction Thread
It doesn't seem like Tulane's offense has gotten on track all year. When the game is close Tulane's offense depends on Banks or Hilliard finding daylight, otherwise they're going nowhere. The talent gap will be noticeable in this game. Houston 45 Tulane 20 UH 45 Tulane 21 I see how you "price-...

Hey it's better than catching him in his first game. More importantly no one's betting anything on these picks so what the hell. The season's been depressing enough. Might as well go out on a limb.BTW, where's your pick? I wasn't dogging your pick just found humor in the grasping at straws positive...

Re: Houston Game Thread-SENIOR DAY
Wasn't using it as an excuse, net, I was pointing out that in both cases the teams were really bad. We're nowhere near as bad as those two teams were. gotcha. tongue-in-cheek on my end as I'm certain no matter the score these last two weeks that WF will not be shown the door. However, I would not b...

Re: Houston Game Thread
Went to the UH game last year in Houston. Though we lost, I felt it was the best game played (and coached) all year. We outgained them passing, rushing, 1st downs, TOP, TO margin. Take away the muffed punt that UH recovered for a touchdown (big ask to just dismiss special teams), we went toe-to-toe...

Re: Tulane beats SLU 89-66
Including the exhibitions Tulane has played four games and scored at least 80 points in each of them. That’s imprressive, regardless of who you are playing. Tulane shot above 50% in the two regular season match-ups. Tulane, in its second year with Coach Mike Dunleavy are making shots that the were ...

Re: Tulane beats SLU 89-66
I haven’t mentioned anything about the post season. We haven’t reached the NIT since Perry Clark left. I wouldn’t compare this to Fritz beating up on FCS teams. Watching football, Fritz has yet to improve the level of talent in the program and he’s running an offense that won’t succeed in the AAC. ...

Re: Tulane beats SLU 89-66
This will easily be one of the best post Perry Clark Tulane teams. Talent, depth and coaching. I think this will get retweeted by WF citing examples of the early season blowout wins against Southern in year 1 and Grambling in year 2 as indicators of how much we've improved. No doubt we look better ...

Re: LIU Brooklyn Game Thread
This looks like one of the better Tulane basketball teams of the post Perry Clark era. We have depth and versatility. Many of the guys look much improved over a year ago. Cornish and Sehic are much better than Morgan and Smith. Ona Embo looks much better. Frazier worked on his outside shooting. Loo...

Re: Tulane crushed by Memphis 56-26
Or to put it bluntly, our 2017 team would beat the 2015 team by at least 3 TDs. So how can we not be better? A lot of good points made on both sides of the discussion but using any CJ coached team as a basis for measuring improvement is worthless and loses an arguments credibility. When you are the...

Re: FIU wins 23-10
Not opposed to run oriented offense, just opposed to poorly called games with an unimaginative offense. Sure we didn't have our qb last year. Don't have our offensive line this year.... Won't have a defense that can give the ball back to the offense next year. No doubt we're better than 2 years ago,...

Re: FIU wins 23-10
And you can't at all go by last season, because we all know GC wasn't suited at all for this offense, and Brantley was injured and could only run or hand off. I didn't realize the offensive (meant both ways) play calling didn't count last year. I'm just going by the statement he made coming in that...

Re: FIU wins 23-10
Please look back at the history of WF terrible play calling all the way back to last year when GC more often than not had more rushing attempts than our backs. Nothing to do with being "enamored with" or "feeling out" Banks. It's the bi-product of this so called imaginative offn...

Rushing: TU: 203 yards (Hilliard 12 rushes for 90 yards, 1 td, Banks 20 rushes for 59 yards, Bradwell 1 for 29 yards, Badies 4 rushes for 21 yards) . On spot analysis. Our RBs combined for 17 carries, and averaged over 8 yards per carry. So who carried the ball the most, Banks, with 20 carries, mor...
