Re: Garland Lafrance

He's 100% committed until he gets a better offer or until he disappoints this season and Texas tech finds someone they like better. Some of these kids are delusional.

Re: Garland Lafrance

Talent and depth at Running Back has never been an issue for us as long as I can remember. Losing a lineman is something I'd think about, there are so many running backs in this state and this region of the country it doesn't matter.

Re: Basketball Recruiting -- 2017

Id take a chance on him if I were Tulane. You have to watch the kid play and interact with people to see it. It is nothing short of bizarre. I think he'd have a better chance of success at a smaller school, but he behaves like he's 12. How he fits in socially is as big of a problem as the other aspe...

Re: Basketball Recruiting -- 2017

Been saying this for a couple of years. Robinson is highly overrAted and a complete head case. He's on a different planet than the rest of us. He's skilled, but he's soft, flaky, and I don't think you can fix what's going on in his head.

Re: Garland Lafrance

Kingsbury is living on borrowed time. Kid may think since he got the offer more P5 offers are coming. It's hard to get excited about recruiting these days until the last 2 weeks bc none of these commits means anything until they are signed. The only takeaway I have gotten from recruiting this year i...

Re: Early Signing

Reminds me of 1998, when the powers that be alerted Tommy Bowden about 2 days before practice that several guys he believed were eligible were in fact not. This has been happening at Tulane forever. It's become hard for me to believe that the ppl who make these decisions don't do so at times to stic...

Re: Green Wave Fan Advisory Comittee

Went online and looked at my section. So far they have sold 6 season tickets outside of the 7 we get in the entire section. Yet still they want to charge me $250 for the right to buy tickets in the section. 6 total f'n tickets. Talk to multiple ppl in ticket office and they refuse to budge. These pp...

Re: Phil Steele on Tulane FB 2017

Two things have to happen for this to be a year to be considered any sort of success. 1) A minimum of 5 wins. 2) A clear cut starter at QB not bc of a lack of options but bc someone is actually performing in a way that gives us a consistent oppportunity to move the football. The coaching is clearly ...

Well if we can't win anymore I guess there is some solace in the fact that our past program bred a plethora of Head Coaching Careers at Major Levels.

Re: Green Wave Fan Advisory Comittee

I feel like they are robbing me. They charge me a mandatory donation to buy my tickets but I have no access to glazer club nor do I even have access to go upstairs to see one of my friends when it was completely empty up there. If we were winning or coming close to selling out the section I sit in I...

Re: Green Wave Fan Advisory Comittee

Here's some advice for Tulane......Win. Stop making stupid hires. Take less than 3 seasons to provide a decent in game experience for the 3-5000 of us who show up. Last but not least, Win or nothing else matters. Oh and you should've hired Andy Cannizaro. Also, stop charging me a cover charge to buy...

TCU's football success got them into the Big 12. Which allows them to pay their baseball coach $1.8 million a year.

Hate to tell you guys but it is mostly because of LSU. New Orleans had the highest TV rating for the first few games with a 7.2 rating. I think next highest was Portland with 2.8 I believe.

Re: Buddy Teevens

Having watched or listened to every game In his career at Tulane his late game failures were fairly simple to diagnose. 1) His teams were nowhere near the shape and condition they needed to be. This was clearly evident after watching Bowdens teams and comparing the two. 1996 should have been a 6-8 w...

Re: Jake Gautreau named Asst coach at Miss St.

At the end of the day those two are in a much better spot professionally than they would've been here. We clearly don't have the will, the means, or the competence to compete at a very high level in any of the sports. Sad to say but there's no other way to see it at this point.

If Cannizaro got the job here he may have eventually left, but not anytime soon. His dream was to build Tulane into a Top 10 program and win a National Championship here.

Re: Jake Gautreau named Asst coach at Miss St.

I don't think he was gonna take a job here after they didn't give it to Cannizaro. I had heard Cannizaro had him lined up to join him at Tulane if he got the job. Seems like what I heard was correct since he hired him in his first full offseason at Miss. St.
