Re: Education Bubble

This self-absorbed clown will go down in history as the worse president this university as ever seen. He is out to destroy athletics and we are going nowhere but down in the academic department. He is just a phony politician, more interested in his PR than he is in advancing Tulane's interests. Will...

Re: Tulane Baseball AGAIN Last in Lowly CUSA

Jonathan may be right. Maybe it is time for a coach who can recruit as quite clearly, we do not have the players that can even keep up with the likes of Houston. Very sad.

Re: Shut Out

Jonathan has a right to express his opinions even if some find them objectionable. I am no longer so sure that we should keep the baseball coach. Looks like he is being out recruited by most of the conference members. And like rollinggreen, the fact that they kept Toledo speaks volumes about Tulane ...

Re: Doormat University

Well said! This is a nightmare. We are the laugh of the league in all three major sports. And there are still some out there who would argue we should change conferences. Good luck to that. If schools like SM can bring in baseball talent, why can't Jones. Maybe a change in coaches? What a nightmare ...

Yes, congrats to them Womens' sports get little attention and they deserve more. Same with all of the other sports at Tulane other than football, BB and basketball.

There will never be a real commitment from the top until we get rid of Cowen and that isn't likely for the forseeable future.

I love Ye Olde Green Wave but: I will not mention actual names only screen names so I hope that Steve will not delete this post since that is why he started this site for "fair and balanced" coverage of Tulane. I feel JTS, the owner of the 6 dollar a month Ye Olde Green Wave site, is an alleged neo...

Re: Nothing has changed

JD Tulane, I dont intend to insult you, but you can't be serious. I read the article we are talking about and it's fairly obvious to me Cowen less than a week after his big B.S. stunt about winning in football clearly made a backhanded swipe at the football program and more specifically all of us w...

Re: T-P, IMPORTANT

I've never worried what most people's opinions are. I did not miss a Tulane home game until my 1st year away at college. At this point I know of 2 people in my age group that still go to games. Most of the people that "would like" a stadium will be the first people to not show up to said stadium wh...

Re: Stadium Capacity

This exercise is moot anyway. Tulane will never build this stadium. At least, it will never happen while Cowen is around. We actually need a practice facility more than a stadium at this point. They were talking about this practice facility several years ago like it was going to happen but like most...

Re: The Playbook Meeting

On this observation of the age of the "crowd" if one wants to call it that, I have always noted that older alumni have few connections to the school and that athletics is one of the few ways we can still feel part of the university or relate. I would venture a quess that the vast majority of the stu...

I would love to see a new stadium but like you said, it will not happen unless and until we change the "mindset" that involves getting rid of this nonsensical "Tulane Model" and that probably requires getting rid of Dickson and Cowen! In my opinion, he has been given too many "benefits of doubt". He is a lousy coach, cannot get the best of what he does have and is always the first to throw his players under the bus. I think he is just preparing all of us for another crappy season although I am sure that few were overly excited ab...

Cowen is the quintessential bureaucratic loser. He hides behind committees and procedures, is driven solely by what it means to his image, is a micromanager (one of the premier symptoms of a poor leader), shows little or no courage on important topics, and has no concept of how to be a strategic le...

absolute worse president in the history of Tulane.
