Re: Tulane Upset over Auburn ?

It would be a signature win and one we sorely need. Even 98 didn't have that. It was a collective body of work for them. As for WF leaving I hope we encounter that worry at the end of the year. If we do I think we keep him. The Kansas and K-State jobs both got filled. He'll be almost 60. If he does...

Re: From the "You can't make this up" Scott Cowen files

Cowen did very little fundraising while he was president—he was too busy lining his pockets serving on corporate boards. During his tenure, Tulane’s academic declines were on par with its athletic disasters. The man was a remarkable failure on all fronts—which in my view gives him the edge over Rufu...

Re: From the "You can't make this up" Scott Cowen files

Mr. Blowhard surfaces again. He keeps making speeches and writing op-eds as though anyone would pay any attention to him. It’s not surprising that he would want to end the USN&WR rankings, since we fell so far in those rankings during his tenure at Tulane—heaven forbid any measures or accountability...

I'm rooting for Texas Tech, as I think UVa was the beneficiary of some horrible officiating down the stretch of their final four game.

Remarkable come back after last night’s debacle. Got to give credit to Jewett and his team, a really gutty performance to come
back and win the series—perhaps salvaging the season.

Re: Ron Hunter’s NOLA Coach & Recruiter is . . .

Pete I recommend you read our message board posts about eligibility, ncaa minimums and transfers. In short (correct me if I am wrong) we can get in almost anyone who meets ncaa minimums as a freshman and grad student. Transfers and jucos are difficult, but everyone (with the hell of our support sta...

Re: WSU Series- Times changed

I left the game with 2 outs in the 9th, and a 6 run lead. I said, “even a Jewett team can’t lose this”. This game will prove to be a season-killer. Tulane baseball fans will be talking about this meltdown for years. Same here. I left with two outs in the 9th. Here’s the crazy part. I drove from Upt...

Re: Connor Crabtree... He Gone, Too

Daniels said the same thing in his statement - Tulane is still an option. Its going to be up to Coach Hunter to close the deal on these players, IF he wants them back. I think that's one of the new things with this transfer portal. It almost like the kids can be recruited again without giving up th...

Re: Caleb Daniels transferring

Daniels and Sehic were the best two of a very bad lot. Anybody coming off this AAC O-fer team, will be lucky if any team gives them as much an opportunity as they will get with Tulane and Coach Hunter. Any talk about NBA opportunities is laughable at this point. They might get a sniff from some Euro...

Re: Golf Partners: Mike Dunleavy and Donald Trump

There's another story about him playing against Mike Tirico. He kicked his ball into a sand trap! As a matter of fact, he kicks the ball so often, his into the fairway and his opponents into trouble, that the caddies dubbed him "Pele". Schmuck on the golf course, schmuck in real life. There's a rea...

Re: Baseball uniforms

Anyone from Texas who hates the Cardinals should look up history. Houston was a Cardinal farm team for many years. I am happy that the Astros are doing well,, but to hate one of the greatest baseball franchises in history is not productive in my opinion. The Astoro's general manager is a product of...

It has never been harder to get into Tulane. The incoming Freshmen class, this coming August, has an average SAT score over 1500.

Re: Tulane’s difficulty with transfers

Here’s what I’ve been told. 1) We can only take a transfer if that person was able to qualify as an incoming TU freshman. Meaning test scores and grades have to be there. Not NCAA minimum for athletes. This is the problem. The student had to score a 30 or better just like every other student. The 2...

Not a Coach that will keep current players from leaving, small time with lower academic type athletes, only time will tell if he can motivate the very good student athletes Tulane demands. Not sure if will keep current recruits Dunleavy was recruiting. I might be a minority but wish we could have g...

According to this, Henri Langton signed his LOI with Colorado-Colorado Springs (DII) on 3/20/19, which would be today. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/henri-langton Henri was a recruit I was not impressed with. gbgreenie is a less funny Vance and I can’t believe you guys fall for it every time Exactly. In fact I suggested they're one in the same a few weeks ago, and Vance magically reappeared in response to that comment. So either Vance monitors this board daily, or more likely gbg is the famous Vance.
