Wow. These kids might have just quit on Dunleavy.
For the season, given how little coaching this team has had, I would say that Dunleavy gave up on the team.

Re: UCF GOFUNDME Site to Investgate SEC

But then, suppose the NCAA threatens to pull the plug on their other sports programs? Try telling LSU baseball players they can't win a national championship because their baseball program isn't part of the NCAA? Or Duke's basketball team? March Madness is an NCAA event, isn't it? Do the P5s really...

Re: Tulane v. FIU Date Announced

Like I said this is a Tulane choice. It is not mandated by TV. It will likely get picked up at some point but it hasn't been at this pint just like the WF game last year. Source? I'm speculating, but would imagine the networks have an agreement with the conference that we'll have x number of games ...

Re: Tulane v. FIU Date Announced

Thursday night games eliminate many fans that might otherwise be able to travel in for a Saturday game—especially for the season opener. Does Tulane or FIU have any say in the matter? I’m guessing they don’t.

Re: UCF GOFUNDME Site to Investgate SEC

The NCAA is almost certainly in violation of anti-trust laws, but I'm not sure what the alternative is or if it would be better or worse for the non-elite schools. Conferences are probably a necessity to create some sort of order and consistency with scheduling and rivalry. Once you have conference...

Re: Lindsey Scott to be a Tiger again :(

His FB career path choices have been a complete train wreck. It’s nearly impossible to mess up that bad if when trying. The QB’s today that sit at least try to move on to a program where there’s an opportunity to start. His moves have been baffling. 1) Almost every fringe LA recruit who gets a LSU ...

Re: Guerry Smith

if anyone really watched the game, UCF was up 14-3 and just stopped LSU on a 4th down play, only to have the ref throw a flag for the DL on UCF for unsportsmanlike conduct, giving LSU a first down. This changed the whole game. UCF would have scored again and put LSU in a big hole. Instead, LSU gets...

We have now seen that Fritz has the courage to make a coaching change when it's needed. Now it's time for Dannen to show the same courage. Dannen needs to admit his MD mistake and fix it--now.

Why is there never a post-game press conference with Dunleavy or any players? Say what you want about Fritz's coaching but even after some brutal losses he faced the music. If you listen to the radio broadcast (1280-New Orleans or iHeart streaming), Graf always has Coach D on the air for about 5 mi...

If we keep taking beatings it’s hard to imagine he’ll survive. Usf just beat uconn (man I love when our non basketball focused aac mates beat uconn and their elitist miserable fans), so it’s really a race to the bottom between ECU & US. How embarrassing. Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Just fired from UCLA, you’re getting excited over another Toledo hire? Not me. Toledo? I don’t get that comparison. His resume didn’t include 24 winning seasons at 5 different schools. Toledo didn’t have 21 post season appearances as well. Alford, (who has 10 conference championships), has kept eac...

Will this thread make 40 pages ? I think it’s all but assured
But it still isn't in the league of the infamous Tanner Lee thread--which I think was in the high 80's, last time it was updated.

Well Wave fans, final score Oklahoma State 38, Missouri 33 for a poorly attended Autozone Liberty Bowl. And, I am afraid again :shakingno: the number of Lindsey Scott, 2015 Louisiana Gator Aid player of the year, was not called for an Ole Mizzou football game. I’m guessing he’ll be hitti...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

No comparison. Toledo had a career losing record. Alford has been a winner everywhere he's been. The sentiment in this thread is he'd be a very welcome relief compared to what we are getting from Dunleavy. At a minimum you'd hope he could stabilize things enough to make the job more appealing in th...

Looks like major publications are saying the deal will be announced tmrw between Dana & Houston- 5 years for $20m making him the highest paid G5 Coach. Good for Houston to poach a P5 coach, it helps change the narrative that the AAC is the little sisters of the poor. Obviously this is posturing for...

Perhaps we should all get on the Elizabeth Warren For President bandwagon. She's a UH alum. After taking on corporate America, maybe she would take on the ESPN/P5 cartel. Re: UH fires the Major

That article is basically telling Houston to stay in its place and not act like a P5 school. It is the typical P5 bias we constantly see at ESPN and in commercial sports journalism. I applaud Houston for their commitment to athletics and holding their coaches accountable. +1,000,000. The article so...
