Re: 2016 Football Schedule

Good possibility of being bowl-eligible by mid-Oct. I like the front-end of our AAC schedule much more than the last 3 games considering graduations and coaching changes of our opponents. Houston, Temple and an up-and-coming UConn might be the toughest games on the schedule.

Re: Football season tickets

I'm on-board the Fritz and TD bandwagon. Very impressed with the effort Fritz and his coaches are demonstrating with recruiting, social media, creating a plan for Spring Ball, connecting with lettermen, and visiting alumni groups outside New Orleans - TD and Fritz are working on a visit to Houston i...

Re: Welcome Aboard Willie Fritz!!!

Ladies and Gents we've hired the real deal with Fritz. I'm looking forward to actually using my season tickets next season. It's about fricking time we got serious about winning. The clouds at the Wilson Center are lifting. I hope the current players are ready for what is to come during offseason an...

Re: Tulane's New AD - Troy Dannen from NIU

Wow! I'm at a loss for words. Northern Iowa? All of the secret interviews and meetings for this. Not a home-run, not a double, not sure if it is even a bloop single. Hopefully he can find a football coach.

Winwave is on to something; my picks are Yvette Jones and Frank Wilson. Interesting that she was interviewed in the group of five over Arnie.

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

No offense taken. As mentioned, I don't believe he would be an optimal candidate, but I'm advised he is being considered. I'd be much more in favor of a Todd Monken candidate. Someone we should've picked up 4 years ago.

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

Hmmm. My insider says take the Ryan rumors seriously. Saints connections run deep. Not an optimal choice in my book but maybe better than what we have currently.

Re: We do not want Barbara Burke

Does anyone know for a fact that BB located Pierce, vetted him, interviewed him and was primarily responsible for hiring him over other candidates? Many people on this forum and the Yoggies are touting this as her big success at Tulane. I believe it is hard to verify her role in this one successful ...

Re: Potential AD candidates search

What has Burke done over the last 2 years during this dumpster fire of an athletics program? If she was as great as you're stating, she would've had at least some impact or visibility. If we choose Burke or Sidwell, we might as well drop athletics. Like some of the others on these boards, I didn't e...

Where is WindyWave? As predicted, he's been banned from the Yoggie board. Looking for his cogent analysis on what to do with CJ on this board.

Re: We don't want Scott Sidwell

I don't know Scott Sidwell, but everything about Scott in his profile at U San Fran set forth below indicates small-time. Maybe he is an up-and-comer that we should consider in a decade or so. In his profile, there is very little mentioned on improving the w/l competitiveness of the programs; instea...

Re: the RD...PR machine

My God, three long tributes to RD in NOLA.com this week? I completely agree with the others about his lack of wins and losses, but what kills me is that he somehow gets credit for being a superior fundraiser. These stories invariably mention that he is jetting off to Colorado, SanFran, NY, etc, alwa...

New punter, new swagger by the DLine and new Safety Teamer, new confidence by Lee. Tulane 17 / Temple 14. And so it shall be.

Re: Tulane 45 - UCF 31

Just arrived back home from the game. Nice win! Hey, I'm usually hard on the coaching, but the comments on the 2nd team in the fourth quarter when we're up by 4 TDs is a bit of a non-issue. Positives: Both the OLIne and DLine played extremely well. No small feat - we looked better than South Carolin...

Re: Rich Stuff

Careful Windy. You are more similar to most of us, than the majority on that board. If NolaDave, Maddog, JTS and Roller have their way, you'll be without a home soon. Stick to the party line of we were fortunate to have RD, he saved us from D3 athletics, he was a great fundraiser, and he was instrum...

Re: Maine Game Day

Completely agree. Many posters on the boards chalked up Houston, Tulsa and SMU as automatic victories for Tulane because of new coaching staffs. Just goes to show that the right coaching (and athletic administration) can win with no excuses.

Yep Tulsa playing OU close and SEC school Missouri behind lowly UConn in the 3rd QTR. Someone didn't tell those Tulsa and UConn kids they can't compete with the SEC and the Big 12.

Appears WSJ is $45K and the NYTimes is $24K for a full page advert. Checking with USA Today. If we can't get Fitts and the Board's attention with emails, maybe full page adverts will get their attention.

Re: "FIRE DICKSON" Air Banner

My wife is taking off the TAF "T" magnetic decal from her car today. Unfortunately I don't blame her. Tulane 2015 football is pathetic and an embarrassment to the the school. Think big guys, USA Today full page ad or WSJ full page ad. I'm in for funding it.

Re: Duke 30 - Tulane 7 10:32 4th Quarter

We flew in for this game. We bought into the hype (Just Watch videos). The Emperor has no clothes. Reasonably good crowd for such an odd time and defied most predictions on here for less than 10000. I bet it was at least 18000. That said, 75 pct of students left at half ( and I don't blame them). We...
