Re: Fritz offense

the cupboard was not bare, i hate this argument. also the "he needs 3 years minimum" excuse is invalid because Fritz came in saying that he tailors to the talent he has. I mean, it's obvious that was a blatant lie, but here we are. I agree that the cupboard wasn't bare. Also, it shouldn't take 3 ye...

Re: Tanner Lee

Nebraska fans now want to give O'Brien start in their next game. If Nebraska decided to bench Lee and O'Brien comes in and doesn't turn the ball over, we might see a two QB rotation from the Huskers. However, if he does those things and finds ways to win like Tebow, then we can close the Tanner Lee ...

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

I'm not saying that the culture and environment aren't trying to change around here. All I'm saying is that I see no improvement YET this year from last year, and WF hasn't shown me anything yet. I am 100% behind Fritz, but I agree with you. We need to start winning now. Beating Navy would have mad...

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

Toledo and CJ didn't coach last year. I'm talking about progress from last year to this year through these 2 games that many are claiming we've accomplished. So far there has been none. Progress would have been us finding a way to win today. Bottom line. "Major rebuilding" of a program means nothin...

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

I just don't get it fellas. This is depressing. I respect WF for playing to win. As many of y'all know, I was in favor of his hiring and wanted him at Tulane. I still believe that he is going to win, but I am so tired of losing. We could have won that game.

Re: Grambling Game thread

Didn't I promise y'all an ass beating! Damn! When are we going to wake the F up around here and realize that we are a FBS football program. I saw too many of our fans showing respect to this SWAC program that wins many games in the worst conference in FCS. Congrats to coach Fritz for beating up a sm...

Re: Grambling Score Prediction Thread

Just for a comparison: In 2016, Tulane was ranked #31 in total defense. Arizona was ranked #115. This will be the best defense Grambling has faced in a number of years. No chance of an upset here. http://www.cfbstats.com/2016/leader/national/team/defense/split01/category10/sort01.html I truly belie...

Gram 35 Tulane 24 Our Offense is Built to Score.. Option is a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. Tulane will need its special Teams Your "built to score offense" scored 10 points against North Carolina Central in your biggest game of last season. Re: Grambling Game thread

If we beat Grambling by a FG, and Grambling goes on to the second or third round of the FCS playoffs, I'd say it's as good a win as Fritz has since he got here. I'm not sure that Grambling is a top 8 FCS team, but if they are, they could beat the bottom 30 of FBS. The top 4 or so FCS teams would wh...

You Guys Do Know that we beat Southern 52-30 with them getting a 3rd String Touchdown with 3 sec remaining in the Game. You guys whipped them in the worse display of football I ever seen 66-21, You guys had 8 passing Yards against those chumps and their Coaches never rotated the D linemen when you ...

We really need help at Tulane. We are showing a SWAC program too much respect. We are far from a FBS powerhouse, but we are still too strong for a SWAC opponent to have a close

Re: Grambling Game thread

I am more concerned about beating Navy and Oklahoma than worrying about a damn SWAC FCS program in this era. We will beat them convincingly just like we usually do SWAC opponents. Call us what you want, but we don't lose to FCS programs and it won't happen Saturday. Grambling has one weapon, Ole Mis...

Re: Grambling Game thread

I'll be thrilled with a win. We haven't earned the right to treat this game as a "tune up". Grambling, (who's football program has an amazing history), dominated the SWAC last year and is the best thing their conference has to showcase. However, the SWAC doesn't win outside their conference and we ...

Re: Grambling Game thread

We need open our passing game up against Grambling. They are a FCS-SWAC school and lack the depth chart to beat any FBS school. We need to open up the passing game and don't give Navy or Oklahoma any peeks of our best weapons in the back fields. We should use this tune up accordingly.

K Smart? Grambling has been getting some Green Wave "woulda coulda" kids like Edward Williams and Dedrick Shy. They all had the size and talent to be all AAC players, but weren't focused academically. They thought Tulane was going to be a "we are on the football team" pass to professors. Sorry fella...
