Re: Wave Wallops USF 41-15

conference championship here we come!  Just a reminder. We've got 3 games left in the season. We're second in the AAC West, only one game off the lead. We play the leader in two weeks. What was it both Dannen and Fritz said when they were hired? They wanted us to "compete for cha...

Re: USF GameDay Thread

Dauphine unveils a “Beast Mode”. He and Bradwell form a pretty damned good 1-2 punch. And McMillan keeps the D honest by stealing yards when they're focused on those two. If he could reel in that arm of his and make the D pay, we'd be very tough offensively, despite the O-line. We'd be very lucky t...

Re: Line Moves to USF 6 pts. > Tulane

I'm tempted to open an online wagering account as this line shrinks. I hate to bet against, and never root against Tulane, but 6 is too few points, IMHO. We're playing a QB with very little experience, and playing against a team that can put up points as easily as anyone we've faced. We stink on th...

24-3 Tulane, with 5 minutes left in the first half. Who saw this coming?
Certainly not me!

I didn't know you could call two timeouts without running a play.

27-3 at the half. Our best half on the road under Fritz.

Re: USF GameDay Thread

We cannot do this every rushing play for obvious reasons, but I sure wish most of the tackle to tackle rushes were handled by Bradshaw and most of the perimeter rushes were given to Dauphine. Both are talented, and Bradshaw has sneaky speed.

McMillan missing Encalade
That throw was horrible. Anything even lobbed in front of Encalade goes a long way there.

We need points.

Or, they did watch USF play Tulsa and Houston the past 2 weeks?
If they watched us "play" Tulsa, they would have picked USF. That was one of the ugliest football games I've watched, and both teams looked inept.

Re: Start a new poll

There's a lot to be said about Troy both positive and negative. I'm not happy with the results in our top four sports (Football, Mens basketball, Women's basketball and Baseball) but at the same time, I've never felt that Troy doesn't care about Tulane Athletes or fans. Although I was an outspoken c...

Re: USF GameDay Thread

My guess is we'll be run heavy this game, to give USF fewer possessions if we can. Ball security becomes a must. I totally agree. If ever there was a game that screamed "Play Keep Away" it's this one. They can score points in bunches, particularly in the later stages of the game. We need a solid ef...

USF 38
Tulane 24

If we run the damned ball down their throats (USF is 11th in the AAC in rush defense) maybe we stand a chance.

Guys it's Shaun. Also he had nothing to do with taking the foot off the pedal. He's the RB's coach the last two years.
+1

King had ZERO to do with USF putting their third and fourth string players in the game prematurely.

Re: ESPN Invitational Playoff Rankings

After this weekend a two loss LSU will stay ahead of an unbeaten UCF. The G5 will never get a shot at a 4 team playoff. UCF has won like 20 straight and still can’t crack the Top 10. I get the angst. But what would UCF's record be right now if they had played LSU's schedule? What is LSU's record in...

ESPN Invitational Playoff Rankings

The first poll of "The Playoff Committee" rankings came out yesterday. Despite having the nation's longest winning streak, and the NCAA acknowledging their self-proclaimed national championship last year, UCF continues to get little respect in this poll. Keep in mind that the NCAA does not recognize...

Re: 2018-2019 Pre-Season Basketball Thread

Anyone know if we have a void in the Athletics Communications department? None of the Freshman on the roster have bios posted, and most of the bios seem to only go through the first 9 games of last season. Does that reflect how much the Athletics Dept cares about basketball? Weak, very weak.

I know little about volleyball, but imagine that any post season would be great for the women to grow into a contender on the national stage. I've seen this before, and love Marshall Faulk as a player and as a man. He's done a lot of good and coming from the 9th ward, set an example that it can be done. He was on my fantasy football team (this is our 32nd season) his entire career, I almost re-named my team The Marshall Plan! He had a kna...

One of the most important things that happened last night was the staff following through on getting Dauphine the ball more. Hopefully they stick with that. Quite true. Although it looked like at least half, or more, of Dauphine’s carries were between the tackles. Does Fritz et al have no outside r...
