Re: WE DEMAND TO THE SEE THE PLANS

Re: Potential AD candidates search
At this point, the AD search can be labeled a fiasco. All I can hope for is that whoever gets the job fires CJ and somehow stumbles into a good coaching hire.
In other news, I'm also hoping to win the lottery.

Re: CJ on the "Hot Seat" for 2015
CJ needs to be fired immediately. He's been given enough time. The nose of the program is now pointing down and it's not going to get better without a change at the top. We need to run an offensive system that can actually work in college football, and we've got to do a better job of developing tale...

Re: Potential AD candidates search
JUCO players really are about getting your program to the point where it's able to redshirt freshmen and still compete in the first 3-4 years of a new regime. Most big programs don't need JUCOs after a while or at most take a couple. But we need to add quality, mature players so that we can carve ou...

Re: Potential AD candidates search
Tulane has to wait to get THEIR right candidate. That is after all other AD jobs are filled so they can get the guy passed over by all the other schools who will accept the Tulane job for a bottom of the barrel salary. That is the Tulane model. Most successful schools have a model that looks like C...

There's no way a good OC or staff would come to coach with a lame duck. Got to make wholesale changes.

Re: Fall baseball observations
Jarrett DeHart will absolutely be in the starting lineup. I see Jackson Johnson being more of a bench player from here on out. Carthon may be too. Matt Rowland has a very good chance to play as well...most likely for Willsey if he slips up at all.

Re: We do not want Barbara Burke
Burke would be a good candidate as a #2 to the AD, but she shouldn't be considered for AD. Alford would be great, but he may be AD in waiting at OU and might not want to screw that up. But hiring a good #2 from a Big 12 school does nothing but show them we're interested in being invited and we're co...

Re: My Case for Firing CJ Saturday
I wanted CJ to succeed more than anyone when he was hired. He's a nice guy. But it's clear now that he can't handle this job. My candidates to replace him: Lincoln Riley, Mike Norvell, Sonny Cumbie, Doug Meachem, Major Applewhite, Jake Spavital and Kendal Briles. I don't care if they're all under 40...

Re: Coach Curtis Johnson's future
I'm firmly in the CJ must go camp, but I'm very much against hiring a re-tread. Those guys rarely, if ever, work out. I'd be combing the Big XII, SEC, ACC, PAC 12 and Big 10 for a solid coordinator ready to make his mark as a head man similar to what Tulsa, SMU and Houston did last year. Lincoln Ril...

Re: MLB Draft starts today
Apparently Hicks had a deal with the Cards before the pick if he's already that certain. The Cards are not a high spending organization on draft picks, so I'm sure they called Hicks and said "Would you sign for x?" He got drafted a little earlier than expected, and that is usually another ...

Re: Place kicker
We can always use whomever wants to walk-on. Don't think Randy is ready to contribute yet, but maybe in 3 or 4 years with some work. He struggled to hit from 44 off a tee and a lot of his kickoffs- even on his highlight tape- didn't make it to the end zone from the 40. I'm not saying he won't be a p...

Re: Tulane cancels football game with Mississippi State
The only way I can accept this is if it was done to protect a long term series with another P-5 team. For instance, if we are scheduling Vandy or Northwestern for a 2 and 2, I'd be ok with it. If we are scheduling Rice, I'll be

That job is a graveyard. Andy would be foolish to take it. He probably gets paid more at LSU than UNO would pay him anyway.

Re: Brian Webb & John Washington
I wasn't at the scrimmage, but the stats weren't that bad if you take out the 25 yard end around from Veal (38 rushes for 142 yards for 3.7 ypc). It could just be CJ getting on the defense for something. Either way, I think you'll see one of those guys playing some next year. Plus Eldrick Washington...

Re: 4 DBs less than 171 lbs!
Parry Nickerson showed up at 157lbs and he's worked out ok. I'm far less concerned about kids who need to put on 15-20lbs, which will be easy, and far more concerned about the ones who weigh 340-350. Those kids need to find a way to show up in the 320-325 range to make an impact this year.

Tulane visited Leeward Brown last night, a guard from Miramar HS in Florida. Brown committed early to Miami then de-committed in October. Has a bunch of offers including Louisville, West Virginia, Miami, ECU, Temple. Would be a really good pickup. Interested to see if we can get him to visit this we...

ironically, T-Bob Hebert makes supportive comments about Tulane from time to time, and he played for LSU. His rube of a father makes it a point to insult Tulane and Tulane fans regularly. T-Bob actually roots for Tulane pretty hard. He has made a lot of supportive comments throughout the year even ...
