Re: Coaching Candidates

There's the old "we are what we are" that's become dicksons motto. Wilson is probably our our next coach. Larry porter part II. They should have just kept scelfo. Christ.

Ty Nix

Any opinions on Ty Nix? Has he ever interviewed for this job on the last few openings? What would be you guys feelings about a defensive minded coach? He's still young but I wonder why he hasn't gotten a shot somewhere.

Re: Coaching Candidates

What ever happened to derrick nix? I liked him at jam and he was dc at Florida last I remember. He knows new orleans, has years as a coordinator, and bone crushing defense never hurt anybody. Put him with a good offensive mind and it could be a good fit.

Re: Generally speaking, how many former Tulane FB players

Monica is the coach at st charles catholic. One of the states top programs. He knows what needs to be done at tulane, loves tulane, and is an interesting name. I personally think a bigger splash is necessary. Also, he was on teevens's staff and I think some bridges were burned after that stretch. I ...

Re: Open Letter To Departing Fans

I went to the Tulsa game. Quite honestly, its too depressing to be there. Its supposed to be fun. Over coming the urge to slit my wrist on a long ride home is not
fun. No mas.

Re: Big 12 Watch Week 2

I hate to be a downer, I really do. But christ, our program is so far gone on and off the field, the big 12 talk is laughable. Academics, location, dome, sec area footholds, history, forget all that and take a look at what's happening every Saturday at tulane football games. Tulane 's leaders have c...

Re: Ever since this day, I have looked on the "U" with scorn

i'm sure it's just me. i'm a sucker for a good conspiracy theory. College football at it's highest level is a filthy, dirty sport. We know that's not changing. Tightning of academics means more cheating. Bigger $$$ at stake will mean more cheating. It's not going away. What I find a little strange i...

Same goes for USM,SMU, Memphis and UAB. 17,000, UAB? Really? At least Rice is somewhat honest.

Re: PARKING ... PARKING ... PARKING (and badly needed)

RWR, we'll just have to agree to disagree. Fundamentally, there's no difference between 25K and 35K. THey're both small. And local media types wont hate Tulane for building it. They just hate Tulane. They hate Tulane because they lose. They hated Tulane when they won. They hate Tulane for existing. ...

Re: What would you do?

I would go down to the local grocer, have some jambalaya pork cut up, get some rice, onions, sausage and seasonings, find me a nice, shady spot on campus friday nite, park my vehicle, secure my ice chests and jambalaya pot in my trailer there. go to bourbon and take in the sites, have a few drinks, ...

Re: PARKING ... PARKING ... PARKING (and badly needed)

usm was less than 30k for hundreds of years. 25k, 32k, whats the big difference? Like i said, only the lsu fans (that includes local media) would poke fun. What would the rest of the world say? Nada. It wouldnt even register. Dude, this thing has a snowball's chance in hell of happening anyway...

Re: PARKING ... PARKING ... PARKING (and badly needed)

Building a 25,000 seat stadium will only continue Tulane's long line of killer mistakes as it will stamp the program smalltime and only subject the program to more ridicule. Only from a few idiots in Baton Rouge. And the entire sports world knows they're idiots. Nobody draws comparisons of Tulane w...

Re: PARKING ... PARKING ... PARKING (and badly needed)

1indabag's post is spot in. Cowan may be evil, but he's not dumb. The only thing I disagree about is the point about a 25,000 OCS being D3 ready. Actually, the current track stadium and practice field would be sufficient. All that would be needed is a small visitor field house and a scoreboard. MM R...

Re: Hmmm, don't we play there also?

ehh. We are a non factor and a neusance to the dome. Parking revenue and concessions from 420 cars and 3 concession stands doesnt even register. I dont see how Tulane should have been mentioned in that article. Hopefully, it will be fixed. And soon. Its a tragedy to see what we've become.

Re: Jason Rollins

Rollins is doing an outstanding job with what has been Toledo's weak spot, wide reciever. We havent been good there since BT's been here. This latest recruit, Edwards, and the Breaux kid should add some much needed oomph the WRs.
